I'm Jockey, a sweet and small Mini Poodle weighing in at just 8 pounds. I'm 4 years old and ready to find my forever home. When I first arrived, I was pretty scared, but I've been working hard to overcome my fears and now my true personality is starting to shine through. I've really made a lot of progress and am very comfortable in my foster home. I used to hide when someone tried to pick me up, but now that I have gotten to know my foster mom, I lay down calmly  ready for some love. I enjoy spending time in the yard, especially when the neighbors walk by with their dogs. I love sniffing and checking out all the pups and people from the safety of my fence. To help me live my best life, I do need a canine companion in my new home. I have a few adorable quirks that will make you smile. I do a little dance when it's mealtime, and if you're not paying attention to me during treat time, I'll pat your leg to make sure you see me. I'm quite the foodie and love treats and chew bones. Just a heads-up, I prefer to keep my chewies to myself! I am a foodie at heart - foster mom says I can be bribed with a treat anytime, anyplace - hee hee! Toys are also my favorite - I have become a little toy hoarder and my people find my little stashes all over the house. I'm just saving them to play with later! I also love playing with the other dogs in my foster home - we LOVE playing zoomies and take turns chasing each other.  I'm still working on overcoming some fears, like loud noises, which can be a bit scary for me. But with patience and kindness, I'm getting better every day. I'm almost potty trained as long as I'm on a good schedule, and I'm also crate trained. We're working on leash training, but I do get alarmed so a fenced yard is required. I can get a bit vocal when you leave the house, but that's just because I love being around my people. Augie loves laying in his human's lap or sleeping next to them, bully stix, and playing at the park. He follows his human everywhere and lays at my feet if he isn’t in my lap. He rides great in car - either tethered or crated. Augie sleeps thru the night on a bed. He is only a few weeks out of a hard life but is very friendly. He is doing great on potty training and wears a belly band in the house while he is learning. He is working on a few basic commands and is a quick study. You will not regret giving this little guy a look. He is pretty perfect. Augie is still a puppy, ready to live the good life and give lots of love! Adoption Fee: $795

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Theo is a sweet middle-aged girl (yep, she is a girl named Theo! Feel free to change that!) who spent her first 8 years as a breeder mill mama and would love to spend the next 8 making up for that! She is an easy pup who loves attention and to be pet! She is a Velcro girl who will stick by your side, inside and out. She is very gentle—great with everyone and everything. She crates like a champ at night and while her foster mama at work. She is super quiet. Theo is housebroken on a schedule, but she doesn’t know how to ask to go out so you have to keep an eye on her still and take her out at regular intervals. She does not climb stairs, although she is easy to pick up and carry up and down. She is learning to walk on a leash and enjoys it but the world is all new to her so she needs her new family to be patient while she continues to learn! She is a toy/mini poodle with maybe some bichon and is just over 11 lbs of pure sweetness. She is non-shedding and will need to be groomed regularly. She does great for grooming and is very tolerant. Before coming to rescue, I didn’t have much of a chance to experience life and all the best things about being a dog, so I’m making up for lost time! I live with a couple other small-ish dogs and a couple huge cats, and we all get along like we’ve been besties forever! I go to the office sometimes and like all the other dogs and new human friends, too! I LOVE to be snuggled and loved on (lots of petting, please!), and the closer I am to my humans, the better! My foster mom says I’m like a little bouncy shadow because I’m always interested in what she’s doing and following her around with my tail wagging, but I’m also super chill and calm when we’re watching TV on the couch or going for a ride in the car. I am understandably timid around new things, but with a little encouragement and time to check them out, I’m comfortable. I’m definitely curious about everything – it’s all new to me! My foster parents have been working with me on navigating stairs, but I’m not quite sure about them yet because I’m a tiny peanut and they’re almost as tall as me. For now, I’d really love for you to carry me up and down any stairs. We’re also working on potty training; it’s a new concept for me but whatever they say about new tricks is totally untrue! I’m definitely learning, and while I still have occasional accidents in the house, I can keep my crate dry at night. As long as you take me out regularly, I should be just fine and maybe you can help me learn how to best tell you when I need to go. Speaking of the crate, I do sleep in mine at night, but I like to be near my humans. It’s very comforting. During the day, I have free reign of the house with the other dogs and mostly navigate between dog beds and the toy bin but have proven myself very trustworthy to be out of my crate for several hours at a time! My fun personality is really starting to bloom, you know, like a Lily, and I’m excited for this fresh new chapter of my life!
