Story
He was a surrender due to a prolapsed rectum surgery that was unaffordable.  The surgery has now been done and he has recovered well    Leo Puppy  poodle/maltese 14 wks old, brindle, male This little bundle of joy loves people. He can be very independent but cautious with new sights and sounds. He is extremely smart, silly, playful with boundless puppy energy. He crates well. Sleeps through most nights with an early rise to let you know he wants to start his day. Still a little nervous going for car rides ... enjoys them more when a few treats are included.  Leo loves other dogs. He could be a little overwhelming for an intolerant mature/aged dog but would do well with a playful brother/sister. He’s looking for a perfect family ready for fun, zoomies, adventures, and a lot of puppy kisses and cuddles. He is 80 % housetrained Loves his toys and playing fetch ... he is a quick learner and knows to sit for a treat when asked.  He has aced going up stairs.  Leo walks well on a leash. He will need a fenced, secure yard  February 2, 2026, 7:49 am

Story
Ruby is an approximately 5 year old Toy Poodle who is from a Mennonite puppy mill.  Initially, she was a bit shy and apprehensive but after a few weeks of being in her foster home she has blossomed into quite the fun, comical girl! She plays fetch, runs around like a mad woman when the foster parents get home from shopping, wants to cuddle up and snuggle and loves to play in the snow in the yard.  She's come along so well and is quite the character. Her housetraining is still a work in progress but she is now pee pad trained, she learned to do stairs very quickly and is crate trained.  She does not bark when left alone or destroy things but if left outside of the crate, she will look for kleenex to chew, and will get into mischief.  Best to crate her when left alone.  She was probably never allowed to be a really puppy so is now experiencing freedom and fun for the first time. She weighs approximately 10 pounds and is being spayed with a dental next week  If you are interested in giving her the home and family she deserves please fill out the application at: https://www.speakingofdogs.com/adoption/dog-adoption-application-2/    February 15, 2026, 9:59 am

Story
Matty is roughly a 5 year old Poodle X mill survivor.  He has been neutered, is up to date on his shots and is ready to find his forever home. Although still very shy and somewhat unsure of peoples attention, Matty is blossoming into a sweet, and  very lovable character who loves being with his foster family, usually as close as he can get.  He is well behaved when meeting new people but has not yet been in the company of children. While he has come a long way in a very short time, he still needs more practice walking on a leash as well as housetraining.  Both of these are a work in progress. He is great with going up stairs but is still very reluctant to try going down them.  Therefore, a family that has the patience to continue working on these things would be the best place for Matty.  (Please remember that mill dogs usually live in barns and are not walked, don't know stairs and are not housetrained)   Matty has recently had a new foster join him and he loves playing with him. They will chase one another around and wrestle inside or out in the yard.  He has also discovered toys and loves to play with them or line them up before his foster brother carries them back to where they were before.     Standing on his hind legs and dancing is one way he tries to get your attention or ask for treats.  He knows the commands come and stay and is learning to take treats from your hand. Matty is a good traveler in the car enjoying watching the world go by.  Leaping onto the couch to sit by your side getting petted and scratched behind his ears is one of his favorite things to do.     He is a good eater and will try new things like fruit and vegetables.  The most unusual thing he loves is tomatoes.  If he doesn't like what you are offering him he will wrinkle his nose and turn his head away.  Currently he is on both kibble and wet food.    If you are looking for a very affectionate and cuddly dog who loves to be with his people and will make you laugh with his goofy ways, then Matty is your boy.February 18, 2026, 8:24 am
