Meet Thelma (A569773) ??Believe it or not, this girl has been returned to our shelter THREE times in less than a month. Originally, she arrived as a stray with a sibling who was quickly adopted. Thelma spent a few weeks here before going to her first adopter. The first time she was returned was due to her adopters housing situation changing which left Thelma without a caretaker. She was adopted again a few days later, but was returned because she had too much energy for the apartment the adopter resided in. They did have a male dog who they stated she did very well with. With her last adopter, she was returned for whining too much throughout the day. They believed that she was just bored, but also shared that she appears to be housebroken and did not have any accidents in the house. To be clear, we don`t think any of this is Thelma`s fault. We think that she just hasn`t landed in a home that is truly ready for her yet. Fortunately, a foster home saw that she was in need and decided to take her under their wing. Life has been going great for her ever since!They have only had her for about four days now, but share that she is doing great in their home. She has not barked once and has great house manners. Her fosters have been working on teaching her not to jump on people and the `sit` command, which seems to be going well for her. Thelma sleeps throughout the night and likes to sleep in her own bed. She LOVES affection. At the shelter, Thelma participated in a large play group with dogs of all genders, temperaments and sizing. We think she would be happy in a multi-dog household!If you have read this far and think you might be able to give Thelma the home she has been waiting for, then please reach out to her foster to inquire today!Thelma is estimated to be around 3 years old and weighs 35pounds.
