Rocket has been at the shelter for some time and would love to find his forever family soon. He's seeking an adult only home where he longs for the day he feels safe and loved, watching TV while chewing on his favorite Nylabone. Rocket has had a traumatic past; sadly losing trust in people. but never losing love for people. Rocket has a special staff member friend at Satchel's and is learning to trust and enjoy what life has to offer. He has a fear of "harsh corrections" and is scared of being "dragged" by his collar so can be apprehensive about anyone putting one on, but does walk very well on a leash. He is housebroken, crate trained, and very obedient, always wanting to learn new tricks and skills. Waterplay is Rocket's favorite outdoor activity, always being ready to play in the sprinkler. He loves to run in the backyard and enjoys playing with Frisbees, tennis balls, or his giant ball he can push around. Always followed by a cool down in the kiddie pool. If you have a calm home where Rocket will feel no threats, please consider adopting this 8-year-old boy. Story
Joey is a fun, lovable 5yr old. He is crate trained and enjoys his crate. Hes a very clingy guy. He loves to be by your side and loves attention. Hes good with cats and dogs. Hes excellent with children. He needs to be walked or have a fenced yard. He probably could really use another dog companion. Hes not good driving but seems OK up front in his seat for short distances. For long distances he needs to take dramamine. He hates his nails clipped and may try and bite the person cutting. Its a two person job. One petting and distracting and the other cutting. He struggles listening to commands. He knows them but doesnt always listen. He loves to jump on people. He pulls on the leash. He loves dental chews and expects them every morning as a treat. He is super food motivated. He comes with food, toys, all supplies, two crates and dog seat. Due to my move and work hours, I cannot give him the attention he deserves.
