Story
Rocket has been at the shelter for some time and would love to find his forever family soon. He's seeking an adult only home where he longs for the day he feels safe and loved, watching TV while chewing on his favorite Nylabone. Rocket has had a traumatic past; sadly losing trust in people. but never losing love for people. Rocket has a special staff member friend at Satchel's and is learning to trust and enjoy what life has to offer. He has a fear of "harsh corrections" and is scared of being "dragged" by his collar so can be apprehensive about anyone putting one on, but does walk very well on a leash. He is housebroken, crate trained, and very obedient, always wanting to learn new tricks and skills. Waterplay is Rocket's favorite outdoor activity, always being ready to play in the sprinkler. He loves to run in the backyard and enjoys playing with Frisbees, tennis balls, or his giant ball he can push around. Always followed by a cool down in the kiddie pool. If you have a calm home where Rocket will feel no threats, please consider adopting this 8-year-old boy. For an appointment to meet him, please submit an adoption application (no commitment) at Satchelslastresort.org.

With a larger-than-life personality and a tail that wags in 4/4 time, this 1.5-year-old heartthrob is the legend your home has been missing. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Sweet Mama Esther II has done an excellent job raising her pups and now is her chance to get her forever home. Poor girl was rescued from Lake County in rough shape and pregnant. Her fantastic foster family embraced her and gave her the opportunity to have and raise her babies for the last 3 months. She is now being spayed and finishing her vetting and will be available at the beginning of September. Esther is house trained, loves people although a bit shy at first and excellent with the other dogs in her foster home. The foster family does say they think she would love her own family but it is not a requirement-just watch the treats when they are handed out and is in no way agressive. Esther II will need a secure yard that the family has reinforced because she does like to dig under the fence. Esther II is a big beautiful hound weighing in at just over 43 pounds. She is relatively quiet except when playing! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 8, 2025, 4:27 pm

Story
Rosie is an adorable seven-year-old Beagle/Basset Hound mix. I originally adopted her from my father's best friend after he passed away six months ago. I adore her, but I am a college student that works full-time, which leaves Rosie sitting at home alone every single day. I also have a very small apartment with an HOA that doesn't allow dogs over 20 pounds. She would thrive in an environment that has a fenced in backyard, at least one other dog so she can have a playmate, and an active owner that has plenty of time to take her on walks and give her endless belly rubs. She has great guard dog instincts and is the best snuggle buddy in the world. Unfortunately, she has separation anxiety and is easily bored, so she needs consistent exercise, a furry companion, and an owner with a dog-focused lifestyle. She does not have any medical conditions or special dietary needs. She is house-trained and understands basic commands. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped.

Will be a great companion animal if you are looking for your new best friend, would also be wonderful as a companion for your family dog. Derry has a very mellow personality. Story
Meet Ethel – A Diamond in the Rough with a Heart of Gold! 📍 Currently in Bradenton, FL | 🐶 Applications: ewenityfarmsbch.com Ethel is one of 30+ dogs rescued from a heartbreaking hoarding situation — and while her past was filled with neglect, her future is full of possibility. She’s about 1–2 years old, and despite everything she’s been through, this little Beagle mix is gentle, sweet-natured, and incredibly resilient. Right now, Ethel is still a work in progress, but she's made tremendous strides with love and time: 🌟 PUPDATE 10/17: She's now housebroken, crate-trained, and uses a puppy door Walks short distances on leash Learning to seek out affection and even snuggles! Loves toys, other dogs, and is very food motivated Hair is growing back beautifully, and her soft spirit is starting to shine But Ethel still needs a very special kind of home — one with: ✔️ A fenced yard ✔️ At least one kind, confident dog to mentor her ✔️ People with patience, dog-savviness, and a heart for the underdog ✔️ A commitment to letting Ethel move at her own pace — not yours Ethel is still timid with new people and environments. She won’t be your walking buddy right away, and she’s not yet a dog you can parade through a busy neighborhood. But in the right home, with steady support and structure, she will continue to bloom. 💡 If you’ve worked with shy, unsocialized dogs before — or if you're a Beagle lover who understands the breed’s quirks and charm — Ethel could be your next great success story. Watching her come out of her shell has been nothing short of magical. She’s gone from frozen and fearful to curious and cuddly — and she’s so ready to take her next steps with a family of her own. 📝 Interested? Apply today at ewenityfarmsbch.com Let’s give this brave little girl the life she’s always deserved. ❤️
