PLEASE READ: Thank you for your interest in one of our adoptable dogs! All dogs listed are still available. If interested, please complete our no obligation application. This can be found at www.waldosmuttleycrew.org. Select the Applications tab, then Adoption Application. THE APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED AND SUBMITTED BEFORE WE CAN START THE PROCESS. It can take up to a week to process an application. We are an all-volunteer rescue so please be patient. Our adoption area is limited to a 4 hour radius of Indianapolis. We try our best to provide all information in our bios. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask during the interview process. Some of our dogs have special requirements such as needs another dog in the home or requires a physical and permanent fenced yard. These requirements are not negotiable. Unless otherwise noted, we do not cat test our adoptable dogs. We also require that all pets in your household be spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and on a monthly heartworm/flea preventative. E-MAILS: We do not respond to e-mail inquiries without an application. We regret that we cannot respond to every e-mail unless you fill out an application. All the dogs we offer for adoption have been spayed/neutered, wormed and microchipped, are up-to-date on immunizations, have been tested for heartworm and are currently receiving a monthly preventative. If the dog had additional medical issues, those have also been addressed. Visit our website www.waldosmuttleycrew.org for more information and to complete an application. Ogden, or Oggie Doggie as we like to call him, has such a zest for life!!! He loves people and attention ... armpit scratches and ear rubs are a favorite of his!!! Oggie is a 2 year old treeing walker coonhound/pointer mix weighing about 65 lbs. He LOVES to play with other dogs and is constantly involved in games of chase and wrestling. He is slightly dominant with males so, although he does play with other males well, would do best in a home with a playful girlfriend. Oggie is high energy so needs a large yard with at least a 5 foot fence; he can easily jump over anything shorter and will do so if he spots a bunny. He loves toys but is a "slayer" of the stuffed ones; they then have to be buried in shallow graves in the yard. LOL! Ogden is sure to keep you laughing with his antics; he has such a huge personality! His perfect home will be one where he won't have to be crated for long hours, a large yard with a 5 foot or higher fence, and must have a very playful female dog to be his best friend. Oggie Doggie's adoption fee is $225; he's neutered, microchipped, current on vaccinations and monthly heartworm/flea preventative. Applications are available at waldosmuttleycrew.org . Annie is great dog that deserves a family who can be more present for her. She’s friendly, loves people and dogs. She can be energetic at first, but calms down. She is house trained, crate trained, and knows basic commands (sit, down).

Story
Hi, I’m Buddiee Rocky! I’m a sweet, gentle hound with a sensitive soul, and I can be a bit of a shy guy when we first meet. Give me a little time, patience, and kindness, and you’ll start to see my loving, loyal personality shine through. I’ll benefit from some basic training as I learn the ropes, and I’d do best in a home without cats. What I really need is a calm, understanding family who will help me build confidence and feel safe at my own pace. Once I come out of my shell, I’ll be your devoted buddy, ready to share all the quiet moments and unconditional love I have to give. Buddiee Rocky's adoption fee is waived thanks to Hensley Legal.

Story
Meet Millie, a beautiful and incredibly sweet Treeing Walker Coonhound Mix girl who has already endured far more hardship than any dog should. When a compassionate teenager found her wandering as a stray and brought her to safety, Millie weighed only 34 pounds — far below the healthy 50–70 pound range for a female Treeing Walker Coonhound. Severely emaciated, with an estimated body condition score of just 1, she is now in the care of Misty Eyes where she is receiving the careful nutrition and support she needs to regain weight safely.Despite everything she has been through, Millie’s gentle spirit shines brightly. She is loving, affectionate, and grateful for every bit of kindness she receives. As she continues to heal and gain strength, Millie is sure to blossom into a loyal and devoted companion who will reward her future family with endless love. She is initially shy and anxious and has had little or no socialization in her life. She is fearful of loud noises, such as thunderstorms and fireworks. Because she is fearful of meeting new people and new surroundings, Millie would do best with a family already experienced with fearful, anxious, unsocialized dogs. She loves to run, so a securely fenced yard is important for her. If you would like to meet Millie and give her the caring home she deserves, please submit an adoption application online at https://www.mistyeyes.org/adoptionapplication.

Story
Lilac`s Compatibility:Dogs - Let`s meet!Cats - Feline-free home please!Kids - YesLilac is a Treeing Walker Coonhound, which means that voice of hers is not a bug, it`s a feature, and the groomer who gave her a bath recently put it best: she said Lilac has a lovely voice and is so fun and spunky that it`s hard to believe she`s nine years old. She`s happiest outside, which makes her a perfect fit for someone with land, a farm, or just a lifestyle that keeps them outdoors a lot. She`s sweet, easy to handle, and the kind of girl who will make every single day a little more interesting just by being in it.Lilac also has some schooling under her collar. She`s been working with local students through Paws & Think`s Youth-Canine program, which runs right here at HSHC in partnership with the Fishers Youth Assistance Program, where kids help shelter dogs practice their skills with positive reinforcement and the dogs quietly teach the kids a few things about patience and confidence in return. Lilac is ready for a home that matches her spirit. Come meet her and hear for yourself!

Story
Meet Prinna! ??This 18lb, 4-month-old, Beagle is ready to find a loving family to help her grow into the confident dog she`s meant to be. She came to the shelter through no fault of her own and is looking for a fresh start.According to her previous owner, Prinna did well with children and enjoyed being around them. Like many young puppies, she can get a little too excited during play, so she may do best with older children who can keep up with her bouncy, energetic personality. She hasn`t had the chance to meet other dogs or cats yet, so slow, supervised introductions will be important if her new home has other pets.Prinna has a high energy level and will thrive with plenty of playtime, exercise, and positive training. While she may be nervous and timid when meeting new people or experiencing unfamiliar situations, she finds comfort in being close to her people and is happiest when she has someone by her side. With patience, encouragement, and lots of love, Prinna is sure to blossom into a wonderful companion. We do all adoptions with approved applicants by appointment only.
