Story
Snoopy is a 6-year-old Redboned Coonhound mix who has decided the hunting life is way overrated. After retiring early from his outdoor career, he’s now looking for a cozy home where his true passions can shine: people, attention, and sniffing absolutely everything. He may start off a little aloof with new folks, but give him a minute and he’ll warm right up — especially if you let him serenade you with his classic coonhound bark. (Yes, it’s loud. Yes, he’s proud of it.)Snoopy is not a fan of being alone and prefers to have his humans nearby. He’d also like you to know he should not live with small animals — he takes his “no tiny critters allowed” rule very seriously. On the larger side and full of houndy curiosity, Snoopy would benefit from daily walks and plenty of opportunities to enjoy the world on a long leash, nose first. If you’re looking for a charming, goofy hound who’s retired from hunting and ready to devote himself fully to companionship, Snoopy might just be your perfect match.

Story
Meet Rey! A thoughtful four-year-old Treeing Walker Coonhound mix currently living in Medford, MA, whose heart beats strongest for bacon-scented fetch balls, cozy naps, and training games that come with tasty rewards. With her striking black and fawn coat and expressive eyes that light up for treats, Rey is both clever and loyal! She’s house-trained, crate-trained, and knows an impressive list of commands like “sit,” “stay,” “heel,” “touch,” and even “hold,” where she’ll patiently balance a treat on her nose. Walks around the neighborhood and treat-dispensing puzzle toys are some of her favorite ways to spend the day, and she’s happiest when life follows a calm, predictable routine. Rey is currently taking daily fluoxetine to support her anxiety, and with consistent training and structure, she’s made incredible progress! Her anxiety tends to show up around unfamiliar people and dogs who approach her with interest, and while she can settle quickly when left alone, she needs help managing greetings and space boundaries. Her current caregivers use leash management, positive reinforcement, and distance-based games to help her feel secure during new encounters. It’s important to note that Rey has a bite history. In past situations where she felt startled or overwhelmed—such as when someone disturbed her while she was sleeping or tried to take food—she has reacted defensively and bitten. These incidents were not unprovoked and did not require medical attention, and her signals when uncomfortable are easy to spot with experience. For this reason, Rey is not suitable for homes with children or other pets. She’s best suited for a quiet, structured environment with a caregiver who has experience working with anxious or reactive dogs. Despite her challenges, Rey is deeply connected to her people and incredibly responsive to training. She’s not high-energy, but she’s engaged and eager to learn when motivated by food and trust. We’re including a full month of behavioral guidance from our consultant to help Rey settle in. Her new family will have compassionate support every step of the way to feel confident, connected, and at home. Could your steady, pet-free home be the space where Rey can thrive with calm leadership and loving patience? Story
🐾 Meet Fish — the Hound With a Heart of Gold 🐾 Fish may look like your classic 2‑year‑old, 42‑pound hound… but don’t let that handsome, traditional hound exterior fool you. Inside beats the heart of the world’s gentlest, snuggliest, most affectionate love bug. This boy is all about kindness, cuddles, and canine friendship. Fish LOVES other dogs and lights up when he’s romping around with buddies. His happy, playful side comes out in full force when he’s in the yard, ears flopping, tail wagging, and nose doing what hound noses do best: leading the way. Speaking of yards—Fish would really appreciate a fenced space where he can safely zoom, sniff, and explore. Hound lovers already know: that nose is always on a mission. Fish and his canine friend were found as strays in Tennessee, sweetly trying to love on people who, sadly, didn’t want them around. But Fish never lost his soft heart. He is still a gentle, forgiving soul who just wants someone to adore—and to curl up with at the end of the day. He’s ready for a family who will take him on hikes, walks, park adventures, and all the sniff‑tastic explorations his little hound heart desires. And afterward? He’ll be right beside you on the couch, soaking up all the affection you’ve got. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, endlessly loving companion, Fish is your boy. 🐟 Apply today to bring this wonderful hound into your life—your heart will thank you.
