Ginger has arrived in Massachusetts and what a great dog she is! She's very engaging with new people, got settled quickly in her foster home and showed that she is a champion snuggler. She was adopted once from the shelter but her owner ended up in hospice and she was returned - so she's had experience living as a pet. She appears to be housebroken, understands that certain things are not allowed, although she could use some obedience training. Ginger is tentative in new urban situations around traffic and noise - she's clearly been a country girl, although she's gaining confidence. Ginger is about 4 yrs old and is a little underweight from the stress of shelter life at 48 lbs. Her ideal weight is probably around 55 lbs. Our dogs are in foster homes throughout the area or in some cases in the south waiting to be transported north. We do not have a physical shelter.
