❤️RIVER❤️ Where are my senior lovers! I have the boy for you. river is so sweet and cuddly. He’s great with my dogs and my cat. since he’s a beagle he definitely has that hound nose loves to sniff everything but also like a typical beagle he is sweet and loving. River seems to be housebroken. No accidents in the house so far. He likes to be outside even though it’s chilly. River is 10 years old and approximately 20 pounds. He’s currently under weight but I will be working on that. River is being fostered in Lake Ariel, PA. If you think river is the boy for you get your application in at Www.mountainrottierescue.net

Odin is about 1.5 years old and 36 lbs. He is a friendly and active boy. He is housebroken. He loves toys and playing fetch. He knows "sit," "down," "paw," and "go get your ball." He would do well in a home with a fenced in yard for fetch and zoomies. He is good with other dogs that like to play but is learning boundaries, because he always wants to play. Story
If you’ve been dreaming of a sweet, snuggly sidekick with just the right amount of cuteness, stop right here. Your new cuddle buddy (and backyard adventure partner) has entered the chat! This very sweet puppy is basically a professional kisser with a minor in cuddling. During her stay, she wanted nothing more than to snuggle close and shower everyone with affection. Her heart? Wide open. Her vibe? Soft, loving, and just waiting for the right owner. But don’t just take our word for it make sure you watch her adoption video to see those sweet kisses and soulful eyes in action! https://youtu.be/i4WCs17yIBA We believe Penny is likely a Beagle mix, and about 19lbs. As with any rescue, breed is always our best educated guess. She’s a great medium size, sturdy enough for backyard adventures, but compact enough to ride shotgun and run errands with. Big personality, bigger heart. Penny’s absolutely a people first kind of girl. At home, her foster says she’s actually a big, playful goofball especially with a smaller dog but at her heart, she’s a loyal little shadow who just wants to be wherever you are. While she can be shy and timid when meeting new people, give her a little time and you’ll see her blossom into the super fun, silly puppy she truly is. She loves playing with dog friends, but nothing makes her happier than hanging out right by her person’s side. She’s a dog friendly girl who communicates clearly and kindly with other pups. She’d be best paired with a respectful, low to medium energy companion who understands good manners and can give her a little space as she settles in. Once she feels comfortable, she relaxes beautifully and her playful, joyful personality truly shines. Penny’s ready to build sweet, lasting doggy friendships. Penny is cat tolerant and showed all the right, respectful signs when she met our house cat. She approached calmly, kept her manners, and handled the introduction beautifully. We would still recommend a little kitty sleepover. Based on what we’ve seen, she’s off to a lovely start. Apartment life is not for this girl she’s a vocal Beagle babe who needs a yard to stretch her legs and sing her little Beagle songs. A home with space to run, sniff, and explore would make her happiest. Bonus: you’ll get endless cuddles and the cutest little hound dog soundtrack. This sweet, affectionate, people loving puppy is ready for her forever home. She’s gentle, playful, once comfortable, and full of love to give. With a little patience, and a lot of heart, she’s going to blossom into the most devoted companion. Think she might be your perfect match? We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.  The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family  Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions  70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer  Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! Story
Meet Butterscotch Pie💛a perfectly squatty, slightly chunky little potato with the most incredible wrinkles you’ve ever seen. Seriously… forehead wrinkles, body wrinkles, all-the-time wrinkles. Add in her beautiful green eyes, adorable little white socks, and her golden glow, and you’ve got a total heart-stealer. She’s about 3 years old, and our best guess is a beagle/lab mix, but what we know for sure is that she’s 100% perfect. Butterscotch is a people girl through and through. She opens up quickly with new friends and is overflowing with affection. She loves being right next to her humans and is a bit of a Velcro dog, following you around, settling close by, and soaking up every bit of love you’re willing to give. Belly rubs are her absolute favorite activity (she will dramatically plop right over for them), and booty scratches are a close second! She arches her back and leans into them like a pro. She’s also happy to jump up for affection and will gladly tolerate being scooped up when needed. Watch Butterscotch Pie’s video here to see her belly and booty get all the scratches! https://youtu.be/NniJiyLua5E?si=47eE1EB3aa7_FlzA On leash, Butterscotch is a pretty easy walk. She’s responsive, checks in quickly, and doesn’t need much guidance, just gentle handling and calm movements, as she can flinch with sudden leash motions. She’s eager to please and enjoys going out with her people. With dogs, Butterscotch is currently more polite than playful. She can be a bit insecure at first, especially with higher-energy or pushy dogs, but she communicates clearly and appropriately when she needs space. She’s done best with calmer, respectful dogs and would be happiest with a low to medium-energy dog sibling who matches her vibe. With time and confidence, she may become more playful, but right now she prefers relaxed companionship and roaming together over roughhousing. Cats are a no for Butterscotch — they’re just a little too interesting for her. Butterscotch absolutely nailed her kid test! She was incredibly calm, gentle, and loving with the kiddos—showering them with sweet face kisses, happily sitting in their laps, and soaking up every bit of attention. Her favorite move? Flopping right over for belly rubs any chance she got and very politely demanding more the second you stopped. She was relaxed, affectionate, and completely comfortable, showing just how much she enjoys being around children. With her sweet nature and family-friendly heart, Butterscotch would make an amazing family dog who’s ready to love her people with her whole soul. Butterscotch would do well in either a house with a yard or an apartment. She may need a short adjustment period to fully settle in, but once she does, she blossoms into a loving, loyal little shadow who wants nothing more than to be near her people. If you’re looking for a wrinkly, cuddly, booty-scratch-loving best friend who will stick by your side and fill your days with sweetness, Butterscotch is ready to wiggle her way right into your heart! ❤️ Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life?
