*Looking for a hospice home* Elvis is a hound dog who has had a difficult life. He came to us after the family who found him as a stray could no longer care for him. He had a mass larger than a softball on his head, horribly infected skin, and infected ears. Despite all of this, he is a very sweet boy who likes to talk and go for walks. He is a little picky on snacks, but can easily be bribed with attention-he loves to hug you. After Elvis arrived to PCHS, we immediately began addressing his medical concerns. His ears and skin were treated, so that we could safely address the growing mass. He was able to have surgery to debulk the mass, but unfortunately it was not possible to get clean margins given the location and size of the mass. The mass was sent off to see what we are dealing with, and it has come back to show that he has Grade 3 Mast Cell cancer. This means that our sweet boy is looking for a hospice home. Thankfully, he is the happiest boy and is feeling great right now. Our goal is to find a family who will help him live his best life for as long as he has left. If you think Elvis is meant to be a part of your family, please come meet him! *No cats **Adoption fee:$200 + $30microchip fee + tax

🐶 My ears are big because I don’t listen. 👂😂 Meet John! John is a 3-month-old Beagle pup with big ol’ floppy ears, an even bigger personality, and apparently absolutely no plans to use either ear for listening. 😂 He’s your typical Beagle baby: curious, goofy, playful, and always ready to follow his nose wherever it decides to take him. John is still just a puppy, so he’ll need a family ready for all the puppy things: training, patience, adventures, and probably asking “JOHN, WHAT ARE YOU EATING?!” at least 14 times a day. He has a little kink in his tail that doesn't seem to bother him. He’s ready to trade in rescue life for a family of his very own. ❤️ 🐾 3 months old 🐾 Male Beagle 🐾 Professional sniffer 🐾 Amateur listener 🐾 Certified good boy Who needs a little John in their life?! 🥹🐶 John's adoption fee is $450 plus tax. Story
Meet Aerie...better known around here as "Meef." Current Club Membership: Girls Club Only. Aerie (better known as Meef) is looking for a very special home. This sweet 6 year old hound has made incredible progress in foster care, but she is still healing emotionally. Because she is extremely fearful of men and currently will not eat when one is present, a calm, female-only home is strongly preferred while she continues building confidence and regaining healthy weight. Aerie is not the dog for most families. She is looking for a quiet home where life is predictable, voices are gentle, and no one expects her to be brave before she's ready. Please read carefully before applying. A female only home is strongly preferred. Meef is currently very fearful of men and will not eat if a man is present. Since she is still regaining healthy weight, this is an important consideration. Aerie is most comfortable outdoors during the quiet overnight and early morning hours. Busy sidewalks, neighborhood activity, loud vehicles, and daytime commotion overwhelm her. Right now, her favorite walks happen when the world is asleep. Loud voices, shouting, frequent visitors, and noisy gatherings are not a good fit for Aerie. When frightened, she does not become aggressive. She withdraws, hides, and waits for the environment to feel safe again. She would love another calm dog to show her the ropes, but she shows some food based resource guarding and keeping meal times separated is sufficient. Aerie does not understand toys and does not think they are something important. Because Aerie has shown a strong interest in chasing small animals, a cat free home is recommended. She currently does best on soft foods like roasted turkey and chicken; she will eat some softened high quality kibble, but it is not her favorite. Aerie came to us underweight by about 15 lbs and weight gain is very important. A detailed journal will be provided to help her new family continue her progress. Aerie has never been left home alone since entering foster care, so her comfort with being by herself is unknown. Any alone time should be introduced gradually. Because Meef follows her nose with remarkable determination and can become startled in unfamiliar situations, she should always be walked on secure equipment. A properly fitted harness and collar are recommended. Aerie doesn't seek comfort when she's frightened. She creates distance. The greatest gift you can give her is allowing her to discover that you're safe on her own timeline. If you're looking for the life of the party, Meef isn't your girl. If you're looking for a gentle soul who will slowly give you her whole heart, she just might be. She doesn't need a family willing to "fix" her....she needs one willing to understand her. Girls Club applications are now being accepted. ❤️ Submit your girl club application at campcompanion.org. Adoption fee is $450 plus tax.

### Hazel — The Sweetest Little Soul 💕🐾 I looked up the definition of **sweet** in the dictionary, and I swear… a picture of Hazel popped right up! 🥰 This adorable Terrier/Beagle mix came to us from Kansas, and she is every bit as wonderful as you could hope for. Hazel is a **spunky, playful, happy girl** who absolutely loves attention. She gets along beautifully with both dogs and cats, and we think she would probably adore having kids to play with, too! Hazel is young and has plenty of energy. One of her favorite things to do is try to **jump right into your arms**—because apparently being close to her people is the most important job in the world. ❤️ But once playtime is over, Hazel is just as happy to curl up beside you on the couch for some serious snuggle time. She truly is the kind of dog who can fit into just about any home. Whether you're looking for a playful companion, a couch-snuggling buddy, or simply a sweet little shadow to brighten your days, Hazel is ready to be your girl. 🐶💗 **Adoption fee: $450 + tax** Could Hazel be the sweet little girl you've been looking for? 🥰 Apply at www.campcompanion.org
