You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Chuck is a 4 1/2 year old beagle who came to the shelter as an owner surrender. He's a pretty easygoing and affectionate guy who does have one big problem. He's very overweight. Food is definitely a big weakness for him. Chuck has been fully vetted but we are going to have him checked out just to make sure that there's no medical reason for his obesity. His adoption fee is $150. We would like to find Chuck a home that has some beagle experience. They are not a dog for everyone. They can be somewhat stubborn and tend to be ruled by their keen sense of smell. Chuck did live with older kids and has done well with other dogs. He has had a little bit of basic training but could always benefit from some more. Chuck has had no exposure to cats. NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. Keep an eye on your emails if you apply. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. While he may not ribbit- this boy can definitely hop! Frogger is a 1 year old beagle/Australian shepherd cross. He is cute as can be just as much fun!Frogger absolutely loves other dogs. He does great with dogs of all sizes and ages. He, obviously, prefers a wrestling buddy but is equals happy with a snuggle buddy! He is pretty indifferent to the cats in his foster home. He is good with the kids in his foster family. He is great in his crate and the house.Frogger is a really fun, active, and smart boy that needs a family that willing and able to keep his brain and his body active. He is a champion runner and is a great training companion. He also would make a phenomenal working dog- obedience, tracking, agility, rally - the possibilities are endless!Frogger is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccinations. He has also tested negative for heartworm disease. His adoption fee is $450.00 plus sales tax. Please submit an adoption application if you would like to meet this fun guy!
