Hi, I’m Shelby! I’m a Coonhound mix with a lot to say — seriously, I’m a pretty talkative guy. I like to keep you updated on important things, like when it’s time to play fetch (which is basically always). Toss a ball, and I’m your happiest pup. I’m super friendly, love meeting new people, and I’m told I’m pretty easy to train — especially if snacks are involved. I’m very food-motivated, which makes me a quick learner and a great student. If you’re looking for a fun, loving, fetch-loving best friend who will happily chat about his day, I’m your guy.MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES... CHILDREN: Yes, I love everyone! OTHER DOGS: I get very excited when I first see other dogs, so I need to meet them when I am calm. CATS: I will chase cats WALKING ON LEASH: I need to work on this with you FIRST TIME DOG OWNERS: Someone experienced with hounds is preferred, but not required. HOUSING: would do best in a house with a fenced-in yard SOMEONE HOME MOST OF THE DAY: Yes, pleaseSOME OTHER THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME.... ACTIVITY LEVEL: Medium-High HOUSE-TRAINED: Yes! Story
Lorelei | 2 years | Approx 34 lbs | Affectionate, Athletic Adorable | Dog-Friendly| GTA Lorelei is a bright and lovable "people person" with a balanced energy and nose for adventure. Emphasis on nose. As a typical hound, this girl lives to sniff. She will spend her entire walk with her nose to the ground, getting the lay of the land, and come home tired and happy. She also enjoys a backyard safari, sniffing the edges of the backyard and underneath the plants and other good smell spots! Lorelei actively seeks out affection, and would rather be snuggled up to you than just in the same room (which would be a wasted cuddle opportunity). She's friendly with people and shows no shyness when encountering someone new. This is important because with her gorgeous multicoloured coat and incredible ears, she attracts attention and admiration wherever she goes! She's also settling in well with the other dogs in her foster home: she will communicate boundaries clearly and is generally relaxed and friendly. She'd do well as a second dog, but would also be happy to be the only dog in the house. She'd love a fenced yard (see: sniff safari). Lorelei has really balanced energy which makes her such a great companion. She likes both resting and outdoor time, loves car rides, being in the water, sun worshipping, and chewing chew toys. Once she's enjoyed a day with a few of her favourite things, she sleeps well through the night. She knows her name, and is eager to learn more tricks and skills. Lorelei is a classic good girl: she's so much fun and a ride-or-die friend who just wants to hang out by your side. Story
QUICK FACTS Name: Forest Age: 1 year old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Beagle Jindo mix Color: Brown (with some white spots on my chest, paws,& tip of my tail) Weight: 10kg / 22lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from a crowded city pound after being placed on the euthanasia list due to a lack of space. Thankfully, rescuers stepped in just in time and gave me a second chance at life. Now, I'm safe, loved, and ready to find a forever family of my own. I can't wait to start the next chapter of my journey with people who will cherish me and love me forever.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY While I can be a little shy at first, I warm up quickly and am a very resilient boy. The love and care I've received at the care facility have helped me come out of my shell, and these days I often approach new people with curiosity and affection. I have a big appetite and love my meals, but I also have a fast metabolism and don't gain weight easily, which is why I maintain my slim, athletic figure. I'm a popular guy among my dog friends and, being a young dog, I enjoy fooling around, playing, and having fun with my buddies. I'm also a very affectionate boy who enjoys building relationships with the people I trust. I love giving kisses and look forward to spending time with the staff and volunteers who care for me. Although I'm healthy, I do have a slightly sensitive tummy, so I do best when new foods and treats are introduced gradually. One of my most charming features is my unique look. I have long, slender legs, a classic Jindo body, and an adorable Beagle-like face and ears. People often say I look a little sad all the time, but that's actually part of my charm and what makes me so irresistibly cute! With my sweet personality, playful spirit, and loving heart, I'm ready to find a forever family who will appreciate just how special I am.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I'm a little shy when meeting new people, but I warm up quickly with patience, kindness, and a few tasty treats. I'll happily take treats from your hand and allow gentle pets while I get to know you. As I become more comfortable, my affectionate side starts to shine. I allow myself to be picked up and, once I feel safe and relaxed, I love showing my belly for extra attention and rubs. With a little time, you'll discover that I'm a sweet and loving boy who enjoys building close bonds with my people. · With Dogs: I'm super friendly with my dog friends and love socializing with them. In fact, I'm quite popular among my canine buddies and enjoy spending time playing, exploring, and hanging out with the other dogs at the care facility. I generally get along best with dogs who have a similar size and energy level to mine, as we tend to enjoy the same style of play and interaction. My friendly and easygoing nature helps me make friends easily, and I genuinely enjoy having canine companions around. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring, and having fun, but once I’ve had my activity and excitement, I’m more than happy to come inside and relax comfortably indoors.   TRAINING & HABITS I can pull on leash at times when I'm excited or curious, but overall I follow my handler's lead nicely and am a pleasant walking companion. I have excellent manners around food and do not guard my meals from people or other dogs. While I may bark occasionally to express myself, I'm generally a quiet and well-mannered boy. I know how to settle and rest calmly in my kennel when it's time to relax. For potty habits, I can use both pee pads indoors and go potty outdoors, giving my future family a great foundation to build on. Most importantly, my confidence continues to grow day by day. As I gain more positive experiences and build trust with the people around me, I'm becoming a happier, more confident version of myself every day.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES I'm an overall chill, easygoing boy who doesn't ask for much. While I may need a little time to settle in and fully open up, I promise I'm worth the wait. Once I trust you, I'll happily shower you with kisses, affection, and plenty of requests for pets and attention. I have a well-balanced energy level and enjoy both outdoor adventures and relaxing at home. My gentle nature and sweet personality make me an easy companion to live with, and I'm happiest when I can simply spend time with my people. If you're looking for a mellow, loving dog who will become your loyal companion and best friend, I may be exactly who you've been searching for.   FOREST'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.co ##2763203##
