Pablo is your quintessential coonhound pal, who is one big dopey baby- Saved from a high kill rural Virginia shelter literally JUST in time, he is enjoying life on a couch in his foster home, sharing the house with a one year old human and his parents. He gets along great with the other dogs in the home, as well as the baby! Pablo loves cuddling with his family in the bed, and has the big coonhound voice. He likes toys and playtime in the yard. He is obsessed with dog tv shows…lol! Pablo is house trained, neutered, and up to date on shots.

Story
Goofy Gus was hanging out in a shelter just north of Nashville, where his chances were looking a bit slim. He is now fully embracing cozy house life at his foster's house in Nashville, where he gets to sing along with all the other musicians in town. He is a big Cadillac of a coonhound, who should weigh in at 70 lbs once he has gained the weight he needs. A large, dopey, goofy boy, he has the BEST puppy dog sad eyes and face, but he quickly waggles his whole body and gives his humans grunts, smiles, and kisses. He is literally the cuddliest coonhound we have ever been around.... He walks GREAT on a leash and would love to explore both city and woods on leash with you. Gus also loves to lay around in the sun and shade, but would love an active family who has a large 6-8 ft fenced in yard.

Story
We've had Red since he was about 12 weeks old, we call him our best ever craigslist find. In 2021 we became pregnant with our first child and halfway through pregnancy found out that our baby had some serious complications with his development. Our son's diagnosis prompted us to move from Knoxville to Cincinnati for treatment through the rest of pregnancy. Red tolerated apartment living through that period, then stayed with relatives for a time during our 7 months in the NICU. We then moved to Nashville to be close to Vanderbilt. All this to say- Red has been an absolute trooper through so many life changes. We've been disappointed to find that our new medical life has not provided a good environment for Red. He loves lots of dedicated time to run and sniff and explore. He loves lots of affection and wants to be glued to the side of his trusted people. He's a true hound and wants to spend his down time napping in the sun. Adoption $ will be donated to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital.

Story
Sweet Lynda Layne was found in a cornfield eating rotten moldy corn from the ground. She was nothing more than a skeleton with skin. She weighed 31 pounds, now she weighs 50 pounds! We have before pics upon request. She was depressed, starving and defeated, dumped by her owner, as is very common in the south. When a hound dog doesn't hunt the way their owner wants them to, they take them for "the ride". Lynda was one of the lucky ones, she was found by a wonderful lady who took her home and then posted her on Facebook. Of course the owner never came so we took her into the rescue. The first night she was here, she never left my side. She even went potty on the pee pads! She has never had an accident in the house and sleeps by my side every night. You won't find a sweeter more loving dog than Lynda! She is young and healthy. Crate trained, microchipped, fully vaccinated and heart worm negative. She desperately needs a loving home. Could that be you? ADOPTION FEE: $400

Story
Our sweet Abby is just a joy to be around. She came from a high kill shelter in South Carolina. We actually saw her on Facebook when they were begging for someone to get her out of there. She was 24 hours away from being euthanized. There are so very many stray hound dogs and the shelters run out of room so they only stay for so long. It's very sad. Abby is the sweetest, most loving girl that you will ever meet. She just loves everybody! She is a full blooded Walker hound, approximately 2 years young. She came with heart worms but we treated her and now she is heart worm free. She is also crate trained, fully vaccinated, microchipped and ready for her forever home! could that be you?
