Story
Update: we moved to 10 acres and Boone is doing much better here, however he often runs off to chase and track deer or bunnies. He’s in his element and I do not want to tether him but he will not stay on the property.- Boone is a very sweet and affectionate dog that loves people. He loves to sleep in our bed and wants to sleep in and be lazy around the house! He is normally fine with other dogs but he can be food aggressive and has gotten in many fights with only one of our other dogs only when food is around. We have been working on it and it is getting better! He's also very good at digging and gets out of the yard and kills our chickens or takes off on a scent trail. Those are the only two reasons we feel the need to rehome him. He would do really well as a tracking dog I think. He can run for hours and miles and we just can’t keep up. He just needs a job and loving human companion. He has never been aggressive towards kids or adults, just our one dog and chickens.
