An amazing person saw something and said something. We were able to take Bryn in quickly to get him the vet care he needed for his knee and hips. Reba was the last one pulled from the forest from the pack on March 21 2026. once Reba decompressed we re-introduced her and Bryn and it was truly a beautiful sight. It was like they were so happy to see eachother safe and asking each other how they got here. The 2 of them light up when they see each other. Reba is gentle with Bryn and his hind legs when they play and they snuggle up to each other inside. They are both amazing with all other dogs & respectful children. HEALTH: GOOD- Bryn had reconstructive knee surgery (Injury from being born in the forest) I will consider him a "forever foster" to ensure he gets the proper vet care he may need in the future if anything comes up for him. The adoption process will be the same and he will belong to you. they are up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered, on monthly prevention. Reba is heartworm + but is doing wonderful on slow kill treatment.Bryn is heartworm - Negative ------------------------------------------------ Ground transport assistance may be available within 1K miles depending on where you live and the availability of volunteer drivers along the route. KC - Chihuahua/Beagle - Male - 1.5 yrs - www.twyla.org If you'd like to know more about this dog please visit our website at www.Twyla.org Meet KC! We think he’s a Chihuahua / Beagle mix (our best guess), he’s 18 lbs and just under 2 years old. He’s still has a lot of puppy energy and is ready to play! He currently lives with 3 senior dogs and a 2-year-old toddler, and he does great with everyone. Now let us explain why we think he’s part Beagle – he is LOUD. Thankful he mostly uses his voice when he’s super excited (like a new person is just getting home or he’s running around in the yard), or when his foster family has to leave the house without him. In both instances, he does calm down after a few minutes, but the volume his little body produces can be jarring. We think some of it is tied to separation anxiety, but we’re hopefully with time that separation anxiety will lessen, as he has unfortunately been moved around a lot in his short life before he came to us. KC would love a family who is home a lot that would let him be involved in whatever is happening. He’s happiest when he’s right underfoot, helping you out with whatever you’re doing! And when it’s time to relax, he’ll be right there with you too. He’s a Velcro dog to the max. KC is pretty neutral with the other dogs in the home, so he doesn’t need a four-legged companion, but he’s very well behaved with other dogs. He’s 100% potty trained, does well in the crate after a short protest, and is a great listener in general. We wouldn’t recommend him for apartment living due to his volume and his leash walking could use some practice. With some basic structure and consistency, KC will make an amazing addition to the family! ***Please note: All dogs are fostered in private homes of volunteers, so to meet a dog please fill out an Adoption Application on our website (http://www.twyla.org/adopt/our-adoption-process) so we may setup a private meetup with the dog or coordinate for an Introduction at the next general Adoption Meet and Greet (as listed on our website: (http://www.twyla.org/upcoming-events), as not all dogs attend all Meet and Greets***
