September 21,2019 is Sadie belle is birthday, looking to rehome her because of finances and recently just had my baby . I’m unable to provide her the happy life I once was able to and give her the one on one time she deserves. She loves cuddles and belly rubs and sun bathing. She is house trained, knows simple commands like sit , and will wait to eat until say small prayer over her food and then say go. She is a sweetheart, she does shed during warmer months which is common for beagles. She currently does sleep in her crate but prior to having our son used to sleep in bed with us, she is okay with either or.

Penny is the best! Everyone that meets her falls in love with her. I’ve never met a dog that loves toys more. She’s always collecting and starting new piles of toys somewhere in the house or yard. She’s a true character. She loves food and is very active around meal times other than that she is very chill. She is getting up there in age, we think she’s about 8 and a half. But, she still has the energy and aura of a puppy. She’ll cuddle up with you, make you laugh, and help you clean the kitchen floor. She’s been a tremendous companion for the last several years, but as our family grows, we cannot give her the love and attention she deserves. We want her to find a great home that can give her everything she needs.

Cesar - Westi/Basset Mix - Male - 10 Years - www.twyla.org If you'd like to know more about this dog please visit www.twyla.org Have you ever wondered what would happen if you mixed a West Highland Terrier with a Basset Hound? Neither have we, but here we are: meet Cesar! This unique looking guy is about 45 lbs, pretty laid back and very sweet with people. He loves attention, and gets his feeling hurt when he gets fussed at for being naughty, which he is at times: don't trust this one around cats or other small animals, he has a pretty high prey drive. Cesar is back with us after a few years as his family's health declined. Once a Twyla's Dog = Always a Twyla's Dog. Cesar gets along with other dogs, but he does very well as an only dog. He's a bit of an instigator when it comes to meeting other dogs, he has no fear of challenging the biggest male he meets, only to tuck his tail and sulk when he is corrected from being rude. He is not a candidate to go to the dog park. He is fine with kids, is house trained, walks well on a leash and is great riding in the car. Cesar is looking for a moderately active home where he is the only dog or can be the dominant dog in the house, he's pretty easy going and loves to lounge on the sofa or keep watch on the neighborhood at a sunny window. Odie - Wirehaired Dachshund Mix - Male - 3 years - www.twyla.org If you'd like to know more about this dog please visit our website at www.Twyla.org Meet Odie: This gorgeous 3-year-old Wirehaired Dachshund and maybe Bassett Hound mix is sweet and gentle but also a little shy and timid. Odie was surrendered to us when his owner could no longer take care of him, and he's getting comfortable in his new foster home. Odie takes a while to warm up to new people - he mostly avoids eye contact until he figures out if he can trust you. Odie does well with other calm dogs his size - he's not looking for a playmate, but rather a parallel companion he can follow and mirror. He is not a fan of being alone and will voice that displeasure in a manner that suggests that his DNA contains some Bassett Hound in there - along with the "he's a very long lowrider, isn't he?". He is fully house trained, walks well on leash and rides comfortably in the car. Odie is getting comfortable enough to play with his new toys. We suspect that Odie's vision isn't the best as he closely follows his chosen dog mentor around the house - this could also explain his lack of making eye contact with people. He follows his humans around the house, but not in a clingy Velcro dog manner, more in a supervisory capacity. Odie is looking for a patient home that will give him time to gain trust and security. He does OK with children that can respect his boundaries = if he moves away, let him. Another dog for him to follow will likely immediately increase his comfort level, as will someone who is home a lot.
