Turkish Angora kittens & cats in Battle Ground, Washington

I am quite the traveler! When we lost our home in Florida during Hurrican Ian, we came to the PNW to find a new place to call home. However, recovering from the financial loss has been tough on my mom and we've been staying with her friends. We're grateful for a roof over us but I've been cooped up in one bedroom for way too long because the resident cat is very hostile to me! Mom figured I'd be better in a home of my own, especially since I've been Feline Leukemia (FeLV) positive since I was born. It was thought, I had shed the virus but I guess not. That means I need to be your only kitty or I could live with another kitty that has FeLV if they want company! I'm a very sweet girl and have a few tricks I like to try. I like to try to get the top off the treat jar with my paws. When I think it's time to get mom up, I try to nip her nose to tell her it's time to wake up. I also try to straighten her hair by pulling at the crown. I loved my prior housemates. Jody, 90 lb German Shepherd and Domino, the 14-year-old male cat. It takes me a little time to feel secure and warm up but I've gotten so much better since traveling by car from Florida and being confined for the past couple of months! Hi my name is Onyx - and have I got a story to tell! You see, my original humans just up and left me behind (not cool!) Fortunately, I found my way to a house where a nice lady took me in. It took some time for me to understand indoor life but man have I grown into my own and realized how warm and comfy it is! My favorite things are to greet her in the morning by plopping over on on the rug for pets and following her around the house to show how much I love her. I happily accept being smothered in kisses but I do take a minute to warm up to new people. Being brushed is also the best thing in the world, second to my automatic feeder which I sprint to every time it goes off. I love food. There is another cat in the house, and we co-exist, but I would really like to have people of my own or maybe a younger sister later on. I think I would get along with older kids but those little ones can be a bit noisy for me - and lets forget those slobbery dog things! I am a young lady who just turned 3 years old and I have a soft silky black coat. I have lived with numerous cats and even some medium-sized dogs and I do just fine with all of them. I haven't been around kids but I do like to be held so they might be fine if they know how to be nice to kitties! I like to play with all my housemates so if you have another kitty looking for a friend, maybe I'd be the right one. I've been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, tested negative for Feline Leukemia/FIV, and treated for parasites. I'm now ready for my next adventure that will be my furever home.
