I am quite the traveler! When we lost our home in Florida during Hurrican Ian, we came to the PNW to find a new place to call home. However, recovering from the financial loss has been tough on my mom and we've been staying with her friends. We're grateful for a roof over us but I've been cooped up in one bedroom for way too long because the resident cat is very hostile to me! Mom figured I'd be better in a home of my own, especially since I've been Feline Leukemia (FeLV) positive since I was born. It was thought, I had shed the virus but I guess not. That means I need to be your only kitty or I could live with another kitty that has FeLV if they want company! I'm a very sweet girl and have a few tricks I like to try. I like to try to get the top off the treat jar with my paws. When I think it's time to get mom up, I try to nip her nose to tell her it's time to wake up. I also try to straighten her hair by pulling at the crown. I loved my prior housemates. Jody, 90 lb German Shepherd and Domino, the 14-year-old male cat. It takes me a little time to feel secure and warm up but I've gotten so much better since traveling by car from Florida and being confined for the past couple of months! Introductions: Kiki and Ponyo, named after the lovable animated characters by Hayao Miyazaki, are a sweet mother and daughter pair with orange eyes! Kiki is an approximately 1.5 year old all black short hair and Ponyo is a 6 month old black medium short hair with sections of grey under belly. History: Before coming to Second Chance Companions with her little kitten, Kiki was a young stray being watched over by a nice lady in the neighborhood she was most likely abandoned at. Once caught, she and the kitten were surrendered in order to increase their chances of having a better life. Now that they are both up to date on shots, are spayed, house trained, and microchipped - they are ready to go to their fur-ever home together. Personality: Kiki would be happy to live with an affectionate owner looking for a lap kitty, but she also enjoys the company of other friendly cats including her daughter. Because Kiki is still young, she also likes having room to run around and play plus lovely windows with outdoor views to spy on birds and squirrels. Ponyo is naturally curious, independent, and fun. She loves cuddling and playing with her mom and knowing what the humans are up too. If I had to choose a song, to sing about my life, it would be ''I get buy with a little help from my friends'' In this case, my human mom and my brother, Chris (CH - Chris). Our mom is moving and can't take us with her, so she asked Second Chance to help us out, to find that perfect home. Are you the one?? Well let me tell you about me. I am a petite girl (most of what you see in my pictures is fluff). I am a timid girl My brother is a bit more outgoing and he is my mighty protector. As you can see from our pics, we are very bonded and are often perched together by the window, watching the world go by. We also like to play with catnip mice inside crinkly, kitty tunnels. We would be best in a quiet home environment, retirees that live a quiet life, and are home more. If friends or family do come to visit, they might not see us, but you should know that we will be waiting for your company to leave so that we can come out. As you might assume, kids are a bit noisy for us, and even though we had a dog in our lives before, we can do without that. Felix is an exceptional kitten. He loves loves LOVES people, even new people. Felix regards everyone, cat and person alike, to be either friends or future friends.
