Indigo came to Animal Outreach when she was just a few days old after Yolo County Animal Services reached out for help. Born with deformed front legs, she needed specialized care and a safe place to grow. Indigo has grown into the most adorable, confident little princess, and she has absolutely no idea that she’s supposed to let anything slow her down. She navigates the world in her own unique way and approaches everything with curiosity, determination, and plenty of attitude. And that personality? INCREDIBLE. Indigo is sweet, social, playful, and LOVES attention. She has been quite spoiled in her foster home (and honestly, we're not sure anyone could resist spoiling her), and she expects her people to keep the attention coming! She has spent plenty of time coming to work with her foster mom, meeting everyone she can and making new fans wherever she goes. Her purr is also the cutest, squeakiest little purr you have ever heard. Seriously. It's impossible not to smile when she gets going. Her deformed front legs do mean that Indigo has some special needs and will need a family who understands that she may do things a little differently. Her forever home will need to make a few accommodations to help her safely navigate her environment and continue to thrive. Some of those accommodations include: - A large, low-entry litter box that is easy for her to get in and out of - A carpeted home or plenty of rugs to give her traction and help her get around more easily - A safe, comfortable environment where she can navigate at her own pace - A family who is willing to understand her unique needs and give her the support she needs to thrive Indigo also needs to have another feline friend in her forever home — or even two! She loves having feline companionship and would do best with another friendly, social cat who can be her buddy. As for dogs… Indigo has made her opinion pretty clear. She is not a fan of the dogs in her foster home and would prefer they admire her from a respectful distance. She could potentially coexist with a calm, cat-savvy dog who is willing to leave her alone, but she definitely isn't looking for a canine best friend. having special needs doesn't mean she can't have a full, happy, FUN life. Indigo has already proven just how capable she is. She may do things differently, but she is playful, curious, affectionate, and absolutely full of personality. She may look a little different, but she doesn't let that define her. Indigo is simply Indigo; a tiny, beautiful, determined girl who deserves a family that will love her exactly as she is. Remember Miss Titi? Well, her owner recently died a few weeks ago and we took her in.  Even though she’s adjusted very well to her foster home,  she’s still very sad so we told her we would find her a new home as soon as the vet bloodwork came in. Results? No thyroid or metabolic issues.  SHE’S JUST FAT! 😹 In fact, the bloodwork came back great!  She’s been given a clean bill of health.  Obviously she needs to go on a diet, but we are not using prescription food at this time because unfortunately she was fed a low quality food (basically kitty Taco Bell) so we think a diet of higher quality food might be enough to do the trick.  She seems to like what we have her on now . We’d also like to incorporate some more wet food in her diet, but that has to be done very slowly to avoid gut upset. Titi is a female calico, 6 to 7 years old and a whopping 19 pounds! She was raised with a big dog and seems to get along well with other cats who respect her boundaries but ideally she’d do best as an only cat. She is fully vetted for her age, litter box trained, and a total sweetheart -loving, and friendly. She’d be the perfect companion cat to someone who wants a low maintenance kitty with lots of love and laughs to give. Ironically she’s quite the ham LOL- not shy at all ! She likes to chat so she specifically requested a family who isn’t boring 😹 Titi also wanted to thank our amazing monthly donors so we can say “YES!” to urgent situations like these. We âve been offered free /discounted food from other companies but we choose to use the best option even if it costs more for us. ***Resident Pet/Child Safety While no one can guarantee the health of any living being, we do our best to make sure your adopted kitten does not have any issues such as parasitic worms that can be passed on to your resident pets or children. We have a very thorough deworming protocol using the best products on the market and the proper duration. Most places adopt kittens while they are in between showing signs of intestinal worms.
