Story
Cali (split orange/grey face) Pillow (softer grey coloring) We got them on Mother’s Day last year at 12 weeks old. This means they spent plenty of time with their kitty mom before coming to us. Cali and Pillow are sisters and best friends so must stay together 💕 They’re indoor only because we live on a main road in a neighborhood known for coyotes and we wanted to ensure their safety. They’ve both been fixed, no fleas, no worms, however have had no shots. These girls are cuddly, quiet for the most part (they greet me with meows when I get home and show excitement before breakfast). I’d keep them forever but we’re moving out of the country and don’t want to stress them with uncertain living situations. Ideally we’d like to find them a home asap as we’re beginning the stages of our international move. We have a kitty spout for drinking that they love, a litter box, toys, and a small cat-tower in which all can go with them no charge (or we’ll just sell separately).

Story
Found these 3 siblings out in a field near my house. Posted everywhere for a found kittens but got no response. Had them over 3 months. I believe that they are all around 5 to 6 months old.I just want them to have a home where they can roam around, have good food, and be loved. The calico is Mabel(F), gray cat is Dipper (M), the black is Soos(M). There is no adoption fee! I just want them to be in a good and loving home!

Home to Home Program Contact:: Brianna Magner at 609-432-2351 or magner.bri@gmail.com Meet Poppy! Name: Poppy Age: 1-2 years old Fixed: no Vaccines: rabies, FVCRP, and microchip (to be registered by new owner) Currently on Nexgard Tested negative for internal parasites and FELV/FIV antibody Bio: Hi everyone! This sweet little girl is named Poppy (after the California state flower). She showed up on our porch after most likely being dumped by her previous owners. She immediately asked for pets and came right inside when we opened the door to her. She always has to be in the same room as you and is very vocal (she loves being talked to). She has the cutest patch of black fur under her chin that gives her a constant look of surprise. She uses her litter box and sleeps through the night (usually cuddled up next to you in bed). Please contact Brianna Magner at 609-432-2351 or magner.bri@gmail.com if you are interested in adopting sweet Poppy!

Story
Home to Home Program Contact: Allison at 209-846-4034 Boots and May are about one year old spayed females. Boots is a mostly black DSH with little white paws, and May is a beautiful calico. They are very bonded to one another and would love to go to a home together, but if that's not possible they would be able to go separately. They are both friendly and social, and have a sweet and calm demeanor. They like to be held and love to purr. They are good with other cats, great with children, and have been around small dogs. They were strays in the neighborhood, and were rescued when they were both pregnant. They raised their kittens together, and they have all found homes. If interested please contact Allison at 209-846-4034

Story
1) READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION 2) ALL FAQS ANSWERED HERE & ON OUR WEBSITE 3) APPLICATION REQUIRED (link at the end) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ With the new year comes new year resolutions for many people. If this is the year that you want to help a special needs kitty (or two), or adopt a pair of kitties that need some extra love and attention then please read on to learn about Jack and his brother Sammy. A special needs pet is an animal that has a physical, medical or behavior challenges that require extra care. These pets offer deep bonds with humans and thrive in supportive homes. When Jack was rescued, he had a ruptured eye that required an emergency enucleation (eye removal surgery). Although cats can do very well with one eye, they often have depth perception challenges, as is the case with Jack. For Jack this means that he doesn’t jump onto high surfaces and has difficulty finding objects if they are not well defined. Aside from these minor challenges Jack is a very happy kitty that has fun running around and playing with Jack and the other cats in his foster home. Jack is also somewhat of a “velcro kitty”. Jack follows his foster mom around everywhere and as soon as she sits or lies down, he is right next to her or on her. This is Jack’s happy place….being close to the person he trusts and that he knows cares deeply about him. Jack’s need for attention is more than what your typical kitty companion needs, or wants, but this is a must for Jack. Jack and Sammy often compete for snuggle time and Sammy always steps away, letting Jack get more attention. But that doesn’t mean that Sammy doesn’t want attention, he just looks out for Jack and protects him whenever he thinks it's necessary. Sammy is a kitty that likes to have some alone time, and he prefers a less hectic environment. This doesn’t mean that he is always calm…he can be a wild crazy kitten like any other. He runs around the house playing chase, he plays with his toys, wrestles with his brother Jack, and he lounges on top of a cat tree or on a (human) bed for a cozy cat nap. Sammy isn’t as confident as Jack, but Sammy’s sweet demeanor will melt your heart. Both Jack and Sammy dislike change and are not comfortable around people they don’t know. Jack and Sammy are amazing kitties that need a family that understands that they will not run to them to say “hello” when first introduced. It might take a few days before these brothers feel comfortable enough to approach a new person for attention, treats or play. Once Jack and Sammy feel comfortable, and safe, in their new home they will continue to blossom, and you will start to see how amazing these kitties are and what exceptional companion kitties they can be. Jack and Sammy have been waiting for the perfect home for quite a while because most people want a sure thing. They want their new family members to “pick them”. This isn’t going to happen with Jack and Sammy because they are shy kitties that need time. But with some patience you will see that they are amazing and truly deserve the chance to have a happy life with a loving family. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ****HOW WE ARE DIFFERENT FROM OTHER RESCUES/SHELTERS**** ***WHY MISSION MEOW IS BEST TO ADOPT FROM:*** ***Complete Information You get to speak directly to the foster family who have the kittens in their care! No one knows the kittens better than the people who have had them for the last several weeks or more. They will give you full details as to personality, background, quirks, likes/dislikes, ETC. Since adopting a pet is a commitment for the next 15-20 years, you want as much information as possible to make the best decision. ***Private, quiet meet & greets You get to visit the kittens in their own current environment where they run free so their true personality shines through. Our kittens aren’t subjected to noisy stores and stressful cages and you won’t be competing with other annoying people for your desired kittens. ***Quality over Quantity We are a small rescue so we can focus on each kitten individually to provide personalized medical & socialization protocols. Because we do not overcrowd, our cats do not pass contagious diseases to each other. ***Veterinary Care We balance a mix of holistic & conventional protocols to keep our kittens healthy. We use high quality disease preventatives & medication when necessary. Mission Meow only wants the best medical care for our kittens, so we don’t skimp on those costs AT ALL. We work closely with our vet to come up with a plan for any kittens who may be ill and to prevent any unnecessary and over medicating. Three local veterinarians have adopted from us after observing the quality of our kittens. ***Food Our kittens are nourished with high-quality food. We ‘ve been offered free /discounted food from other companies but we choose to use the best option even if it costs more for us. ***Resident Pet/Child Safety While no one can guarantee the health of any living being, we do our best to make sure your adopted kitten does not have any issues such as parasitic worms that can be passed on to your resident pets or children. We have a very thorough deworming protocol using the best products on the market and the proper duration. Most places adopt kittens while they are in between showing signs of intestinal worms. Not us. ***Post Adoption Support It is extremely rare that we have any issues post adoption, but if there were any that presented themselves, we would work with you towards a resolution. We pride ourselves on the one-on-one relationships we build with our adopters. __________________________________________________________ ALL CATS ARE: SPAYED/NEUTERED ~Vaccinated ~Rabies* ~Microchipped** ~Tested for Diseases ~TREATED/PREVENTATIVE FOR: Fleas Worms Ear Mites ~Litterbox Trained ~Socialized in private foster homes ~MULTI ADOPTION DISCOUNT * If age appropriate ** FREE LIFETIME REGISTRATION ____________________________________________________ APPLICATION: For FAQS and Priority Consideration, please fill out an application located here: https://www.missionmeowcats.org/adoptables-and-process _____________________________________________________ *****ADOPTION LOCATION:***** By private appointment in Rocklin/Roseville/Lincoln/Citrus Heights/Auburn CA area, or at Bark Avenue Rocklin ______________________________________________________ *****ADOPTION PROCESS:***** APPLICATION: Please contact us and we will send you an online application. A response is usually given with 24-48 hrs. if we think it's a potentially good match. INTERVIEW: An adoption counselor will contact you via phone to answer any questions and if it seems like a good fit, arrangements will be made for all parties to meet with desired cat(s) at a mutually agreeable time. APPROVAL: If adoption is approved, a contract and adoption fee to cover veterinary costs will be required. You will be given medical files. TIME FRAME: Based on volunteer availability, it is possible for all adoption steps to be completed the same day, however, it is not guaranteed. Please note that occasionally a home check, vet records/references, etc may be required and multiple people may be interested in the same cat(s) so additional time may be necessary. You are also welcome to get the kitten an appointment with your own veterinarian at your expense prior to adoption, just be aware that may delay the adoption by several days. WHY: Our adoption vetting process ensures a proper feline fit for your family. You may be a wonderful pet owner but may not be the best fit for a particular cat, or other extenuating circumstances. Also, YOU may know you are a good pet owner, but we don't. We exist because too many people view pet ownership as casual or disposable so we want to be sure the best match is made for the next 15-20 years. Your patience and understanding as to where we are coming from are much appreciated. Our adoption process is also reflective of the extremely thorough medical protocol our kittens receive. Thank you! PLEASE NOTE This particular cat is being fostered in the *MERCED AREA*. Meet & greets are ideally done there, however it's sometimes it's possible we can arrange a meet & greet In Elk Grove or Roseville. Please fill out application below. Pepper Pepper is a remarkable little survivor with a heart as big as her story. After being found trapped in a storm drain for a couple of days, Pepper was whisked away by a kind human who later took her to the welcoming home of a kind rescuer and her teenage daughter. The girl, recovering from her own health challenges, chose Pepper as her summer project and what an adventure it became! At first, Pepper’s feisty spirit and wary eyes hinted at the rough patches she’d endured. But with endless patience, gentle words, and heartfelt devotion, her teenage foster friend showed her the true meaning of love and safety. Now, Pepper is a transformed kitty, blossoming into an affectionate lap cat with a sweet, purring soul. She delights in long snuggles and has learned to trust, returning every ounce of care with boundless love. Though loud noises can still startle her, sending her off to her favorite cozy hideout, Pepper always returns, seeking out the warmth of a trusted lap. Pepper can live with other cats and dogs after a proper introduction, but she can also be content as the only pet. She will tolerate being held but generally prefers not to be. If you’re ready to open your home and heart to a kitty who needs a patient family, Pepper is more than prepared to shower you with affection and gratitude. ***WHY MISSION MEOW IS BEST TO ADOPT FROM:*** ***Complete Information You get to speak directly to the foster family who have the kittens in their care!
