Truffle is a sweet cat however she seems nervous around people, takes a while for her to warm up, she always been this way since birth , I would love to keep her but my daughter has asthma

Sylvia is a rescue cat we adopted as a kitten about 12 years ago. As a kitten she was sweet and playful, but as she's grown older she's become anxious around all people including me. She went through no trauma, as she grew up in our loving household. We suspect she may have some form of feline anxiety or cognitive decline. She is well behaved around other cats and dogs as she lived with both, and is litter-box trained once she's happy with the litter-box arrangement. About the most social she will ever get with me is allowing me to walk past her while she rests on the couch. She will never let me get within arms reach. When there is any commotion in the apartment she stays under the bed, but will come out when its quieted down. Sylvia is a difficult cat! She may never quite be a "companion" cat. But I also have not been able to put in the time required to see if her trust can be earned, which she deserves. She's cute, she's soft, and I refuse to let her go to a shelter. Please inquire!

Given how affectionate and people oriented she is, she likely had been an indoor cat before losing her home. She has such a sweet soul. Yammy greets her favorite people with head bonks, makes biscuits like it’s her job, loves being close and giving kisses to those she trusts. She also loves to have conversations with her people, as you can see in her photos. Phantasia got her name as a result of the beautiful gold mask covering half of her face. She is indeed a beauty. She was the most trusting and outgoing kitten when rescued, but then suffered a trauma and needs a little extra warm up time. But once she warms up, she's a sweet kitty.
