Story
Sunshine grin. Self-appointed fun coordinator. That’s our girl, Gracie Joy Gold Jamboree. She is the spark that turns the backyard into the fun zone and the living room into the love lounge. If there’s a game of chase happening, Gracie probably started it. If there isn’t one happening, it’s probably because one just wrapped up. Want to see this smiley social director in motion? Head to YouTube and search “Gracie | Joy Gold Jamboree” and then come right back to meet the girl behind the grin. Gracie thrives in a pack. In her foster home, she runs and plays with dogs of all sizes, happily roughhousing with the big crew and keeping the energy balanced. She’s the friendly “new dog greeter” who sizes everyone up, makes sure manners are intact, and then invites them into the fun. She genuinely wants everyone to get along and play well, and she wears that big, beautiful smile as a sign of her confident presence. Gracie is esmtimated to be 6 years old, she weigs 55 lbs, and is possibly a vizsla/lab mix, but of course, given she is a rescue we cannot guarantee age or breed. With other animals, not just dogs, Gracie shines. She did beautifully with cats, even offering a few polite licks, and she enjoys small dogs too. Because she loves to wrestle and play enthusiastically, we’d recommend dog friends closer to her size so everyone can keep up with her playful energy. She is both praise motivated and food motivated, which is a dream combo for training. Call her name mid-play and she’ll happily break away from the action for affection and encouragement. She is very well crate trained and settles nicely when it’s time to wind down. At home, she’s affectionate and leans into pets, especially when you let her come to you at her pace. She’ll scoot in for love, retreat for a beat, then circle back for more. It’s her little rhythm, and once you learn it, it feels like a sweet dance of trust. Gracie can be a little unsure in brand-new environments, especially when she’s figuring out new people. That’s very normal for a sensitive, thoughtful girl adjusting to new surroundings. What we’ve seen is that once she has a dog friend nearby and a little time to settle, her confidence grows and that radiant smile is right back where it belongs. For now, we’re recommending a home with a yard rather than apartment living, and adopters who are excited to continue building her leash confidence with patience and positivity. Beyond that, we can see her being a wonderful addition for a family with kids and just the same- adult life suits her well. Simply, we are so impressed with her there are very few homes we cannot imagine being better with her in them. Gracie Joyful Jamboree is looking for a home with playful energy, a steady canine sidekick, and humans who understand that trust is something you build, not rush. In return, she’ll give you laughter, loyalty, and a greet you at the door with the happiest face you’ve seen all day! Story
There’s something about Max that feels instantly familiar, like he already knows how to be your best friend and is just waiting for you to catch up. Happy, affectionate, a perfectly goofy, and very committed to the balance of dog-life and people-adoring. He is the kind of dog who welcomes everyone and if they have a dog, invite them too! Bouncy best friend energy, soft-hearted goofball, his motto might be something like “Isn’t today just a great day!?” Go watch him in action on YouTube then come right back, because this happy boy is the real deal and you do not want to miss out. https://youtu.be/1yMXKvCquYE Max is estimated to be around 6 months old and currently weighs about 37 lbs. He appears to be a Vizsla/Lab mix, though as always with rescue, breed and birthday are our best guess. What we can guarantee? He’s in that sweet, slightly clumsy, very lovable puppy phase where everything is a little bit silly and a whole lot of fun. Max is being fostered in a loving home in Renton, WA and is available for local meet and greets. Let’s talk about his personality, because this is where Max really shines. He is a people guy. He loves meeting new people, happily greets everyone, and has a signature move where he comes back for bonus affection just to make sure you didn’t miss your chance. He’s playful in that easy, joyful way- toys are welcome bonus to the fun and he brings no chaos, no intensity, just happy-go-lucky goodness. He has lived with kids and is a great playmate, bringing that goofy, puppy fun without being overwhelming. And yes, he may pop up for a hello now and then, but his jumps are gentle and more “I’m excited!” than anything else.Plus, he is young and still learning. With other dogs, Max is polite and easygoing. He coexists beautifully, is small dog friendly, and handles introductions like a gentleman. He’s not the life-of-the-party type in dog groups but one-on-one in his foster home he is perfectly bouncy and playful with his doggie pals. He would do great with a calm but playful dog buddy who matches his laid-back playstyle. He’s also still learning the ropes, as any young pup is. Leash walking is a work in progress, right now he sometimes needs a little encouragement (or a light jog) to get into the groove- but he’s willing and eager, and with consistency he will have it all figured out quickly. Max would love a home that’s ready for a growing puppy with a big heart and a goofy side. A yard would be a bonus, but more than anything, he wants people- people to follow, people to play with, people to love. He’d make a great companion for outings, family time, and all the everyday moments in between. If you’re looking for a happy, affectionate, slightly silly best friend who will keep you smiling and always be close by… Max is ready to fill that role. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Athena! Athena's journey hasn't been easy. She came to us as a protective and standoffish mama dog, fiercely guarding her 9 puppies after living a life on the streets and having litter after litter. It took a lot of time and patience to gain her trust, but now that she's found it again, Athena is an incredibly sweet and gentle girl. She may take time to warm up to new people, but once she trusts you, she will love you forever. Athena has a calm demeanor and would thrive in a home where her new family can give her the time and patience she needs to feel safe and comfortable. As a Vizsla mix born around February 26, 2019, she’s fully grown and ready to be a loving companion. Athena is spayed, up to date on prevention, and fully vaccinated. She’s now ready to find her forever home where she can continue to blossom and show her true loving nature. Her adoption fee is $300, and she is available through A Doggie 4 You. If you're interested in giving Athena the loving home she deserves, apply today at www.adoggie4you.org. Could Athena be the missing piece of your family? This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY, or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $250. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 7, 2026, 1:30 pm
