Rose Thunder is a 2-year-old (born May 28, 2021) mix of French Bulldog and Weimaraner. I have had him since he was 16 weeks old, and he's received training from myself and formal dog trainers. He is potty and crate-trained, knows basic commands (e.g., sit, down, leave it), and barks occasionally when playing with other dogs. He has a wonderful temperament and is not aggressive to other dogs. He is sweet by nature and obedient. Rehoming Rose was a hard decision for me because he is my first dog, and I couldn't have asked for a better first dog. He is quiet, listens well, and is not destructive. All he wants to do is play (with dogs and/or humans); however, my schedule moving forward does not allow for the time he deserves so, ideally, a new home for him will either have another dog for him to play with or multiple owners who are able to give him individual time.

URGENT!!!! HELP KLEIN BEEORE HE GETS EUTHANIZED!!!! This is Klein, he’s 7 years old. The sweetest, goofiest little boy ever. Pure bred blue Weimaraner. The owners have said they will put him down because of his behavioral issues so he urgently needs to find his forever loving home asap. Klein has such a big personality and spread so much light, but he has a neurological disorder. He sometimes has accidents indoors due to his CNS (central nervous system inflammation) whenever he gets nervous or stressed. He goes very well along with other dogs but sometimes nips playfully, so he needs a home that are extremely patient with him, can teach him manners and basic obedience, and preferably a kid free home so he won’t get stressed out. His owners are offering to pay for his meds (Ciproflaxin) for an entire year ( It costs $81 a month).

How could a sweet, medium-sized, dog-friendly gurlie be stuck at a high-kill shelter for A YEAR?!? That’s the question we asked when we met Laverne at the shelter September. She came in as a stray back in August 2022 and—despite being a beautiful girl who was bulletproof with other dogs—she’d never had any takers. That’s because Laverne is a shy dog. It took a while for the shelter volunteers to earn Laverne’s trust. But once they did she turned out to be a playful, active girl who loved playing fetch and chase-playing with other dogs. When the shelter ran out of room, they could always count on Laverne to be kenneled with another dog for space. But Laverne’s time ran out. Before the shelter could euthanize her, Outta the Cage rescued her and took her to a foster home where both the humans and the other dogs welcomed her and let her take her time becoming a member of the pack. Laverne is ready for a forever home (so the foster family can help another urgent dog!). If you have a friendly pack of dogs—Laverne is great with both big and small dogs, male and female—and don’t mind a dog who’s a side-by-side (rather than a face-to-face) companion, Laverne will be your girl! He was found with his friend Vulcan wandering around in the street by staff extremely malnourished and without collars or microchips. Both pups love attention but can get a little jealous sometimes if they feel they aren't getting equal amounts. Hades always seems to set the pace for them and Vulcan will follow suit. Hades loves attention and treats, and will happily tag his tiny tail at the sight of you. Hades would do best in a home with an active family or person and will require a home with high or sturdy fencing due to his incredible ability to climb chain-link fences. Meet Vulcan! Weighing in at 79 pounds, this big guy has an even bigger heart. Vulcan was found with his friend Hades wandering the street alone before they were found by staff. Both of them love attention but can get a little jealous sometimes if they feel they aren't getting equal amounts. Vulcan will eventually settle down after his excitement to see you subsides and intently watch you do your everyday tasks, hoping you'll give him a treat and some pets when you're done.
