Suzy from an adopt a pet site. She was with a rescue organization named Philazoia in Santa Monica. She was full grown, seemed very good with dogs and sweet. I took her to some training classes at Rancho Park in the beginning. She seemed fine, would get out the car, walk over and participate but towards the end of the sessions she was very anxious, wanted to leave immediately . Over the next months her anxiety grew, she did not want to walk or be on a leash. I found a person who boarded dogs and worked with them in the mountains, she loved it there. I was trying to rehome her with this individual but circumstances happened on her end and I was unable to rehome her at this mountain facility. I feel Suzy would benefit being on a farm, ranch or in the mountains away from the city. She shuts down every time I take her out of the house and put a leash on her. I have been taking her to weekly pack walks with LARPBO, did one training session with the trainer and keep trying my best.

Hazel is a true companion: calm and gentle when cuddling, but full of curiosity when exploring the world. She has a natural elegance and poise, paired with a warm, people-loving personality that makes her instantly endearing. Whether she’s leaning in for pets, following you around, or simply soaking up the moment, Hazel radiates charm, loyalty, and a special spark that will light up any home. We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public. It is first come first serve we do not evaluate applications prior to an event. If there are multiple interested parties in the same dog or puppy at the same time we would pick the best out of the 10 applications. A spirited one-and-a-half-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog currently in Oakland, CA, whose essence is a whirlwind of playful charm wrapped in a stunning merle coat and powered by puppy-sized curiosity. Meep is a big-hearted 90 pound pup with a big future! He’s the kind of companion who makes every day feel like recess, with boundless energy, a contagious grin, and a serious love for belly rubs. Meep lives for zooming around the yard, soaking up attention, and gleefully interacting with people and pups who appreciate his enthusiastic approach to life. This sweet boy is both crate trained and house-trained, making him a solid addition to a home that can offer him structure, consistency, and lots of active time. He’s mastered “sit” like a pro, especially when there’s a treat or belly scratch involved, and he’s incredibly tuned in to his humans, always eager to learn and please! Meet Heineken! A lively seven-and-a-half-year-old Pointer mix currently living in Three Rivers, OR, whose zest for life is as strong as his love for a good trail run and a sunny nap. With his mostly white coat and athletic 65-pound frame, he’s a striking sight on the trail—and a loyal companion through every season of adventure and rest! Heineken is a trail-blazing athlete at heart. Long-distance runs? No problem! Lake fetch? Count him in! He’s the kind of dog who thrives on outdoor activity and brings unfiltered joy to every hike, run, and splash session. But he’s not all go-go-go—this guy knows how to chill. After a good workout, he’ll happily stretch out in a sunny patch of grass or curl up fireside, satisfied and calm. Trained in all the basics—sit, stay, come, leave it, lay down, “kennel up”—Heineken is incredibly responsive to clear direction and structure. He’s crate trained, house-trained, and comfortable being left alone for stretches of the day. But like many sensitive souls, he has his quirks. Heineken does best in a calm, predictable environment and has shown that the hustle and bustle of young children isn’t his scene. He becomes anxious around infants and toddlers, especially when there’s crying or sudden movement. In one instance, he snapped at a baby during a stressful moment—he didn’t cause harm, but it was enough to show that a kid-free home or one with older, dog-savvy children (age 10+) would suit him far better. He’s also selective with other dogs, especially off-leash. While he can be friendly and playful with the right match—typically females or mellow males—he can become territorial or threatened around unfamiliar dogs, and he tends to react strongly to huskies in particular. Positive introductions and controlled environments are key to his success. Loud vehicles like motorcycles can startle him, and he may bark or lunge out of nervous energy. He’s on a low dose of vet-prescribed Fluoxetine, which has helped ease some of that reactivity, alongside the natural maturity that comes with age.
