Story
Hi, I'm Brownie, an 8-month-old grey Weimaraner with a heart full of love to give! 🐾 I'm friendly and playful, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with other dogs and kids — they bring out the best in me. At Medium size, I'm still growing into my long legs, and I'm not yet neutered, so my adopter will want to plan for that when the time is right. I'm looking for a fun, active family that matches my energy and can help me grow into my best self. My adoption fee is $119 — come meet me and let's start our adventure together! 💕 THIS PET IS ON A WAIT LIST AND NOT IN THE CARE OF THE SPCA OF POLK COUNTY, PLEASE EMAIL CONTACT@SPCAPOLK.ORG TO ENQUIRE

Story
Hello there, I'm Tom and I love to cuddle and follow my foster dad around the house. Meeting new dogs is super exciting so I should be introduced to them slowly. I get along great with my large and medium sized foster sister dogs and love to wrestle with them! I am high energy but a daily walk helps calm me down. I am crate trained and know how to use a doggy door- call me smart! I don't have much experience around children but do great at meeting new people so that is promising! I would do well in a home with medium or large dogs but no kitty cats. If I sound like your type, get your app in soon!

Meet Felipe Sweet, Loving, and Ready to Find His Forever Family Breed: Weimaraner Mix Gender: Male | DOB: May 23, 2025 | Weight/Size: 60 lbs (Large) Good With: Dogs ✔️ | Kids ✔️ | Cats: Unknown Personality: ❤️ Sweet | Loving | Friendly | Affectionate Medical: ✔️ Healthy | ✔️ Neutered | ✔️ Vaccinations Up to Date | ✔️ Microchipped | ✔️ Adoption-Ready Location: Los Angeles, California Transportation: Ozzie and Friends Rescue coordinates safe transportation for approved adopters throughout the United States. ❤️ Personality & Breed Information Felipe is a handsome Weimaraner weighing approximately 60 pounds. He's a sweet, loving young dog who is ready to find a family that will give him the companionship, activity, and affection he deserves. Felipe is good with other dogs and children, while his compatibility with cats is currently unknown. Weimaraners are known for forming strong bonds with their people. They are often intelligent, affectionate, athletic, energetic, and eager to participate in whatever their family is doing. They tend to thrive when they're treated as true members of the household and given plenty of opportunities for both physical and mental activity. Felipe is still a young dog, so his future family should be prepared to provide daily exercise, enrichment, continued training, and plenty of companionship. A bored young Weimaraner can find his own ways to stay entertained, so an engaged and active home will help him thrive. Felipe would benefit from: Daily walks and regular physical activity Playtime and outdoor adventures Mental stimulation and interactive toys Positive-reinforcement training Consistent routines and boundaries Continued socialization Plenty of time with his people A secure home and yard, if applicable A lifelong commitment Training, Adjustment & What to Expect At just over a year old, Felipe is still a young dog with plenty of learning and maturing ahead of him. Rescue dogs may arrive with basic training at best, so adopters should be prepared to continue working on leash manners, basic commands, recall, household boundaries, calm greetings, and positive socialization. Weimaraners are intelligent dogs, and training can provide valuable mental stimulation in addition to teaching good manners. Consistent positive-reinforcement training will help Felipe build confidence and develop a strong relationship with his new family. The 3-3-3 Rule 3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe 3 Weeks to understand his new household routine 3 Months to fully settle in, build trust, and feel at home Even a sweet and social dog needs time to adjust to a completely new environment. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Felipe is healthy, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccinations. He is ready for adoption. His future family should continue providing routine veterinary wellness exams, recommended vaccine boosters, flea/tick/heartworm and parasite prevention, dental care, quality nutrition, healthy weight management, regular grooming and nail care, appropriate daily exercise, and veterinary treatment whenever needed. As an athletic breed, maintaining Felipe at a healthy weight and providing consistent, appropriate exercise will be important throughout his life. Adoption Information If you are interested in adopting Felipe, please complete an adoption application at: https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions Ozzie and Friends Rescue is a Los Angeles-based nonprofit dedicated to rescuing dogs in need and helping them find safe, loving forever homes. Adopting Felipe means committing to his health, training, exercise, safety, companionship, and happiness throughout his life. Felipe is healthy, young, sweet, and ready to begin the best chapter of his life. At 60 pounds, there's plenty of Felipe to love—and he's looking for a family who will give all that love right back. Whether it's heading out for an adventure or simply being close to his favorite people, Felipe is ready to find where he belongs. September 20, 2026, 12:19 pm

Story
Chance truly lives up to his name. Found roaming a neighborhood, he was given the opportunity he needed to feel safe, secure, and cared for. When welcomed into a temporary home, Chance proved to be the perfect gentleman—respectful and calm with the large family dog, and a delight to have as a guest. He clearly enjoyed the comfort and kindness he was shown and settled in with ease.Handsome and full of affection, Chance seeks comfort from everyone he meets and has never met a stranger. He adores attention from the volunteers and happily leans in for love. In fact, Chance would be more than content embracing his role as a devoted “lap dog,” soaking up all the snuggles his forever family has to offer. Chance is ready to fill your home with love!Est. Story
4 yo Belgian malinois mix Maddox and her 2 year old malinois sister Mel lost their parents, their homes, and siblings to divorce and overnight, her world collapsed. Maddox is a super sweet, almost perfect pup. She is good with dogs, cats, and kids. She lives with dogs, a kitty, and two small children, and gets along with everyone. She does love to play fetch, but mostly she is very quiet for her breed, and prefers chilling with her foster family, than play with her doggie foster siblings. Maddox tends to be a bit more reserved and enjoys her own quiet space. Maddox is housebroken, crate trained and very affectionate and better suited as a companion than a high-drive working dog. Maddox weighs 60 lb and is fully vaccinated, spayed, chipped, heartworm negative and kept on proheart 12. She loves to sunbathe, and snuggle. The sudden change in their situation has been very stressful to Maddox, so we would definitely like to find her a home where she gets lot of love, and affection. Maddox is being fostered in Texas, but can travel to any state, and even Canada for the right home. To meet our gorgeous pups via facetime or whatsapp or other video chat apps, please send a completed application via www.savesomesouls.com Yards MUST BE adequately and fully fenced to adopt our pups. We do not accept electric or underground fences.

Story
Big's journey hasn't been an easy one, but through it all, he has shown incredible resilience and a quiet determination to keep going. Big was rescued from a difficult situation where he was living among nearly 40 other dogs on a property. It was clear that people had not always been kind to him. He was terrified of human interaction and unsure of the world around him. Shortly after his rescue, he faced another challenge when an intestinal obstruction nearly took his life. Thankfully, Big wasn't ready to give up. He fought through it, and today he is healthy, safe, and ready for the next chapter of his life. What Big needs now is a special personsomeone who understands that trust takes time and that the greatest relationships are often built slowly. He would thrive in a quiet home with a patient, compassionate person who is willing to let him move at his own pace. While he can still be nervous around people, Big is trying. Every day, he chooses courage over fear and takes another small step forward. And when you earn a place in Big's tiny circle of trust, you'll discover what an incredible dog he truly is. He is loyal, gentle, and deeply devoted to the people he loves. The bond he forms is something truly special because it is built on trust, understanding, and patience. Big is looking for someone who needs a best friend just as much as he does. Together, they can help heal each other's hearts and discover that the best things in life are worth waiting for. If you're willing to give Big the time and kindness he deserves, you'll gain a companion whose love is genuine, unwavering, and absolutely priceless.
