PLEASE VISIT THIS WEBSITE TO FIND THE ADOPTION QUESTIONNAIRE: http://www.homewardtrails.org/adopt-a-pet/adoption-forms/ HOW TO MEET THIS ANIMAL: Fill out the application and we will follow up with you! We will connect you to his foster! LOCATION: Foster home ADOPTION COORDINATOR: Sue B (sueb@homewardtrails.org) ADOPTION FEE: The adoption fee for this dog: $600 ESTIMATE WEIGHT FULL GROWN: 45 lbs full grown is our best guess ESTIMATED AGE: 5 mos old on 2/20/26 KNOWN WITH DOGS: Willa is a friendly but shy puppy who gets along great with her foster dog siblings. She NEEDS to go to a home with another confident dog who can help her keep learning the ropes of life! to sit, and is following the big dogs out to go potty, does well on a leash walk. Sleeping all night in the bed and ok in the crate when we have left her.  Willa would do best in a home with a fenced in backyard and friendly dog siblings to help give her confidence as she grows and adjusts to a new home.  KNOWN WITH CATS: She is cautious and respectful of the kitties in her foster home. KNOWN WITH KIDS: She is great with the kids in her foster home KNOWN COMMANDS: She knows sit and is learning commands to go outside! KNOWN HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING: Willa is doing well on housebreaking, sleeps all night in her crate and is very smart. She is not great yet about going to the bathroom on leash so a home with a yard is going to be best for her. She walks well on leash but just does not go to the bathroom on leash yet. So a fenced yard will be very helpful as she learns her confidence. KNOWN LIKES: Playing, treats, cuddling. KNOWN DISLIKES: None know so far. ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Sweet Willa was found in a barn back in December, very underweight and freezing. She has wandered in and made a small next in some straw. This poor girl desperately wanted warmth and love. Thankfully the finders took her in and alerted us to her needs so that we could bring her into HT and find her a loving indoor home. She is shy but very loving and will be an amazing new family member. We prefer she go to a home with another dog, as she is shy and finds a lot of confidence around other dogs. Story
Peanut was saved from a home who couldn’t care for him when he was 4 months old he was also the runt of his litter so he was taken in by a lovely family. He is now looking for a new forever home due to his family relocating. He would be best in a home with no children and cats. He was listed as not potty trained but he can be if he is taken out every three to four hours but he sleep’s through the night. He is good with other dogs as long as proper introductions are followed. He’s a cuddle bug and loves to sleep with his owner. He knows tricks such as sit, down, Paw, spin and a few others. He also thinks he’s a bit of a guard dog and will let you know if someone is at your door or walking around your home. Another thing about peanut is although his bark is loud his heart is even bigger.
