Meet our lovable 8-month-old Weimaraner mix pups—full of energy, personality, and ready to find their forever homes! These sweet youngsters are the perfect blend of playful and affectionate, with that signature Weimaraner charm shining through. At 8 months old, they’re past the tiny puppy stage but still full of fun, curiosity, and goofy antics. They love to run, play, and explore, making them great companions for active families or anyone who enjoys outdoor adventures. Whether it’s a long walk, a game of fetch, or just romping around the yard, they’re always up for it! These pups are incredibly people-oriented and form strong bonds with their humans. They’re happiest when they’re part of the action—whether that’s hanging out at home, going on car rides, or joining you on daily outings. Expect a loyal sidekick who wants to be wherever you are! Being a Weimaraner mix, they’re smart and eager to learn. They’re at a great age to continue training and will thrive with consistency, structure, and positive reinforcement. With a little guidance, they’ll grow into well-mannered and devoted companions. They would do best in homes that can provide plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and love. A fenced yard or an active lifestyle is a big plus. With proper introductions, they can do well with other dogs and older kids.

Story
Doc McGee is the name.... and FUN is the game!! Let's face it, my very short life was almost over a couple of weeks ago.... alone in a rural pound with no hope of getting out alive ;( But my luck changed in that little shelter.... I was SAVED!! i am up-to-date on all vaccines and have been neutered and microchipped. i am for sure a mixture of some hunting dogs…i like to raise up my paw when i see something in the backyard and i have some herding qualities. i like to try to corral my mom’s personal dogs around the yard.  i am the sweetest boy at nighttime and i love to snuggle with my foster mommy in her bed at night…i love to be skin-on-skin! i do not like my kennel to sleep in. i bark if i cannot be laying with you.  i am athletic and energetic and love to wrestle with my doggy siblings at my foster mom’s house. i really want a fun furry friend to play with at my new home.  i also like to play with the 2 legged humans that like to talk “baby talk” to me.  i am still working on potty training. i always pee-pee like a big boy out in the grass, but i sometimes have some accidents inside. i need to go outside right away in the morning when i wake up and i need to go outside within 2 minutes of eating to continue having success.  i am a fun boy and i like to play with any and all squeaky toys, and i like to chew on anything that my toofers fit on….firewood, balls, toys, blankies, old shoes etc. i am very good at fetching when my human throws toys. do i sound like a good fit for you? i cannot wait to go to my furever home!! Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Meet Obi! Obi may be 5 years old, but has the soul of a young pup! He absolutely loves to go on long walks, making sure he takes his time to sniff each spot that peaks his interest. He's a gentleman on the leash for the most part and has the energy to keep up on longer adventures! He would make an excellent hiking partner or running buddy. Obi is higher energy than your typical dog, needing more mental and physical stimulation to keep him calm and satisfied. He can be picky about his dog friends, so a meet and greet with your resident dog will be required. He is a very smart dog and is able to pick up tricks and routines quickly with some treat motivation. He will do just about anything for a peanut butter treat. He has been noted to do well around older children who display a level of understanding and maturity around dogs. Obi may come off as uninterested in new people, but once he knows you, he'll let his soft, loving and goofy side show! Obi is looking for an experienced dog owner who is able to keep up with his needs! We know that Obi will make the most loyal, loving, and funny companion! If you're interested in meeting with Obi, stop by the RHSPCA today!
