Story
Looking for a playful, affectionate, and all-around good boy to join your pack? Meet Spike, a fun-loving 4-year-old pup with a heart as big as his smile! Spike is a social superstar who adores the company of other dogs. Around here, we lovingly call him "Uncle Spike" because he’s always looking out for our younger, high-energy pups—showing them the ropes, playing chase in the yard, and gently teaching them doggie manners. His patience and playful spirit make him a favorite among his four-legged friends and the staff alike! Spike is also crate-trained, has lived comfortably with older kids, and has great house manners. If you’re looking for a loyal and fun-loving bouncing pup to add your family, come meet Spike today!

Story
Current Location: Littlestown, PA Meet Merry Mistletoe 🎄 Merry Mistletoe is a 3-year-old, super sweet, happy-go-lucky girl who truly lives up to her festive name. Weighing around 30–35 lbs, she’s the perfect medium size for just about any family. She loves everyone she meets and is always greeting the world with her signature butt wag. Merry did wonderfully meeting other dogs and people, showing a submissive, easygoing demeanor with other dogs (at least during a small-store outing). With people, she’s incredibly gentle and affectionate. Merry seems to enjoy car rides, walks nicely on leash, does well in her crate, and appears to be housetrained. At home, one of her favorite pastimes is sitting on the back of the sofa, quietly looking out the window and taking in the world. Merry arrived in foster care with her three puppies and has been a devoted mama. Two of her pups are still searching for their forever homes as well. If you’re looking for a loving, gentle, and joyful companion who fits right into family life, Merry Mistletoe may be your perfect match. 💕🐾 I’m looking for my forever family! Is that with you? If so please click “apply for adoption” or submit an application through the Adopt tab. Let’s get our family started! This dog tested positive for heartworm disease before arriving to the rescue. Heartworm disease is transmitted to a dog through a bite from an infected mosquito producing a positive test in six months. OPH will treat the dog and provide two weeks of recovery time prior to adoption. Potential adopters will receive detailed information on the disease and their role in completing the recovery process from OPH’s heartworm coordinator. With monthly preventatives, the disease is completely preventable.
