Dana Darling is one of those easy-to-enjoy puppies who is ready to fit right into family life. She is sweet with people, wonderful with children, friendly with other dogs and always ready for a walk, a tennis ball or a little recliner time with her foster. Despite being a growing puppy, Dana already has a gentle, thoughtful nature that makes her a joy to have around. Dana is gentle, gives sweet little kisses and remains patient when tiny hands are petting her or occasionally grab an ear by mistake. She truly seems comfortable being part of a family and enjoys staying close to her people. Her foster says she even likes to curl up beside him during recliner time, fully convinced she is lap-dog sized. Dana goes on regular walks and already has great basic leash skills. She rides well in the car, knows how to sit and loves treats, which she takes very gently from your hand. She is also getting the hang of fetch and has decided that tennis balls are clearly superior to every other toy available. Dana is friendly with other dogs and has a playful side of her own. Her best match would be a dog who enjoys playing without being overly pushy or overwhelming. She goes slow when meeting a new dog but once she is comfortable, she is happy to join in and have fun. Meet Nellie! 💕🐾 Nellie is a sweet, affectionate girl with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She absolutely loves people and has a way of turning just about everyone she meets into a new friend. She may give a little bark when someone approaches, but once she realizes they’re there to say hello, she’s all about the pets and attention. Nellie would be a wonderful match for an active person or family who enjoys being outside. She has plenty of energy, strong athletic legs, and would likely make an amazing walking, hiking, or even running buddy. She’s still working on her leash manners, but she’s already showing that she can stay close and listen with some guidance. She’s also incredibly food-motivated, which makes training with her both fun and rewarding. In just a couple of weeks with her foster, Nellie has already made huge progress with crate training. She now settles much more calmly and will even choose to go lie in her crate on her own during the day. Nellie can be a little unsure about certain new experiences, especially things like the bath hose, but with patience, encouragement, and a little coaxing, she continues to improve. She’s the kind of dog who just needs someone willing to show her that the world is a safe and exciting place. Lyon Alexander The Great may only be 2 months old, but according to his foster, he already has a little lion attitude packed into that puppy-sized body. He is playful, confident, and happily discovering the world one tiny adventure at a time. Meet Espresso Bean Good things take time to brew, and Espresso is proof of that. This 4-month-old Pointer/Labrador Retriever mix is one of the four adorable pups from the "Café" litter, and he's exactly the kind of dog who reveals himself in the best way. He's dressed in a beautiful white coat covered in the cutest tan details: a striking patch around his right eye, little cow-like spots scattered across his back, and a dipped tail that ties his whole one-of-a-kind look together. When Espresso first arrived, he was the more reserved and thoughtful one of the Café puppies. While some of his siblings dove headfirst into the middle of everything, Espresso liked to take it all in first, quietly sniffing around and giving himself a little time to decide that everything was okay. That gentle, observant nature is still part of who he is, but he has blossomed so much since then, and the playful, affectionate puppy underneath has come out in a big way. Espresso grew up alongside his three Café Litter siblings, giving him wonderful early socialization with other young puppies. Since being at the rescue, he has truly come out of his shell with other dogs, and they bring out his very best. He comes most alive in the company of his canine friends, where he's respectful, attentive, and affectionate. He would thrive in a household with other dogs, and he also does well with cats, making him a great fit for a busy, animal-loving home. At our 2 acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dog’s growth and we enjoy seeing their progress! We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Veterinarians consistently praise our medical standards. From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+. Adoption fees help cover a portion of these expenses, but without government funding, we rely on fundraising to bridge the gap—ranging from $100–$1,000+ per dog. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
