Story
Raven is a beautiful girl with a very mixed lineage - her breeds are thought to be Weimaraner, German Shepherd, Catahoula and Aussie - all rather high energy, intelligent breeds. At this point she weighs a little over 40 pounds, and has the appearance of a black lab with tan toes. She will need spayed and that will be included in her adoption as well as getting her a rabies shot, she is up to date on her other shots. Raven wants to play with everyone and everything and has some trouble understanding what's acceptable and what's not - some intense training and patience will be needed to get her to be calm and not jump on people and leave the other animals alone until they want to play with her too. In addition to those issues she will chew if not supervised but does have the ability to be crated. She would prefer to be snuggled up with her people and does well with playing ball and frisbee and will return it to you if you ask her for it. She is house trained and while her current owners love her they just don't have the time to train her to be the best dog that she can be and want to find her a family who will love her and turn her into the 'wonder dog' that she can be. Her adoption fee is $300 and will include her spay. If you would like to meet her please fill out an adoption application on our website, sccpets.com. Once approved we will connect you with her owner. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application.September 2, 2025, 12:13 am

Story
Meet Little Boy – the Bubble-Chasing, Ice-Cube-Loving Chocolate Cutie! Little Boy is a 1-year-old chocolate weimaraner/terrier mix with soulful golden eyes, big floppy ears, and a personality that’s equal parts curious explorer and gentle companion. Weighing in at just 29 pounds, he’s perfectly sized for couch cuddles, outdoor fun, and everything in between. This playful boy is house trained and crate trained—he even cries to let you know when it’s potty time. He does great with tweens and teens and loves playing with dogs of all sizes (30-70 lbs). While he hasn’t shown interest in toys yet, he absolutely adores splashing in his water bowl, chasing bubbles, swatting at flying insects, and being first in line at the fridge for an ice cube treat. Seriously—ask him, “How about an ice cube?” and watch his eyes light up! Little Boy has a medium energy level: active enough to enjoy playtime and outdoor adventures, but also loves his daily naps. He’s learning leash manners and basic commands like sit and get in your box, and currently working on come here, shake, and lay down. Birds and squirrels are very exciting distractions on walks, so continued training will be helpful. While Little Boy is a bit aloof with people and not overly affectionate, he thrives in the company of other dogs and would do best in a home with a playful dog companion. He stays in his crate when left alone (4–8 hours), and although car rides make him a little nervous, he makes the cutest little noises during them. If you're looking for a quirky, sweet, and independent pup with a love of bubbles and cold treats, Little Boy might just be the perfect companion to add to your family! To apply directly for Little Boy, push the "Apply for Adoption" button. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-725 All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. This benefit includes free access to Petcademy’s team of trainers/behaviorists, as well as access to online materials that will help you settle your new family member into your home. You can text unlimited questions to Petcademy and they'll respond within 24 hours (Monday-Friday).

Story
Nemo is a 60-pound, 2-year-old pointer mix with a heart full of love and a touch of mischief. Not so long ago, in a street far far away, Nemo was living on a tiny patch of grass outside a Houston store. He was a shy but playful goofball—he would race to the loading dock, snatch an unattended furniture blanket, and dash back to his grassy spot outside the fence. The store managers took him in, and just like that, he graduated from “street dog” to “office foster dog!” Now, Nemo is thriving in foster care. He’s a smart boy who knows “sit,” “leave it,” “touch,” and “shake” (he promises he’s working on “stay”!). He has plenty of puppy energy and enjoys playing with other young, active dogs, though not all pups appreciate his enthusiasm. He loves chasing footballs but has a submissive nature—he's happy to let other dogs take the toys. Nemo is a lover, not a fighter. Nemo is not yet housetrained, but he’s eager to please and very trainable with consistency and patience. He has been treated for whipworms, is heartworm-negative and on preventative, fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. He adores car rides and, despite his energy, is a total couch potato at heart. He’s perfectly happy napping while you work from home, as long as he gets some playtime and love. Nemo is a sweet, mischievous boy who just wants a best friend to play with and snuggle. Could that be you? If you're ready to welcome Nemo into your heart and home, apply today at www.doggedly.org/adoption-app!

Our dogs are spayed/neutered prior to adoption; microchipped with free lifetime registration; and up to date on DAPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccinations (when age appropriate) and deworming and heartworm treatment/prevention. WANTED. Our two employees and army of volunteers focus on transporting pregnant dogs and puppies from Texas, the number one kill state in America. The dogs we rescue are in poor living conditions and on euthanasia lists in shelters that are inundated with unwanted animals. We want to give these dogs a chance and bring them to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive, loving homes. We are 100% foster based; our dogs are fostered in loving homes where they are house and crate trained and learn basic obedience and leash skills. Dogs experience socialization opportunities with people, places, and other animals, and they receive the attention required to become well-rounded, healthy, and affectionate dogs that they would not otherwise receive in a shelter environment. Our commitment does not end when the dog is adopted. Path of Hope offers post adoption owner support including information on making the dog’s transition to your home a smooth one; recommendations for Preferred Trainers; advice on pet behavior and wellness topics; Facebook litter groups to keep in touch with fellow adopters; and invitations to local rescue hosted events.  Please visit https://www.pathofhoperescue.com/ for more information about our organization and the adoption process. ##2373749##
