Story
Valor was found on the street as a puppy with a wound on his head and starving, eating pebbles. I think because of this start in life he has some food aggression, so best not with another dog. I have a german shepherd now and they get along most of the time but every once in a while, a switch flips in Valor and he gets very aggressive. Sometimes in this state, he will jump on me as well and he is very strong. He does not bite, but he will paw and scratch me. BUT he is "mouthy" and his teeth hurt. Best not around cats because the skittish ones that run, trigger him and he wants to pin them down. He doesn't bite them but I think one day he will. He understands some commands but very strong-willed. I think he is a hunting dog: so interested in birds, especially. He needs space to run, and I live in an RV. I love Valor but he needs someone physically strong. He pulls badly on the leash. Crate-trained. With an experienced strong-dog owner, Valor would make an excellent companion.

Hi, my name is Cora! I am approximately five years old and weigh in at 50 pounds. My people think I may be a Weimaraner mix. I am a super sweet girl. I am a little shy when I first meet you but I warm up pretty quickly. I like to be near my people and will stick to you like glue. I like to snuggle and am all about the love. I get along with other dogs. I have never been cat tested so my people are going to say no to a home with furry felines. I love to go on walks and am a medium energy girl. I don’t require a lot of crazy exercise. I like to just meander along and smell the roses. There are so many great things to smell out in this big ole world we live in. I walk well on the leash and I am not a puller. I am house trained and crate trained. I ride well in the car and like to be out and about. I am looking for a new after being found on a country road. Nemo is a 60-pound, 2-year-old pointer mix with a heart full of love and a touch of mischief. Not so long ago, in a street far far away, Nemo was living on a tiny patch of grass outside a Houston store. He was a shy but playful goofball—he would race to the loading dock, snatch an unattended furniture blanket, and dash back to his grassy spot outside the fence. The store managers took him in, and just like that, he graduated from “street dog” to “office foster dog!” Now, Nemo is thriving in foster care. He’s a smart boy who knows “sit,” “leave it,” “touch,” and “shake” (he promises he’s working on “stay”!). He has plenty of puppy energy and enjoys playing with other young, active dogs, though not all pups appreciate his enthusiasm. He loves chasing footballs but has a submissive nature—he's happy to let other dogs take the toys. Nemo is a lover, not a fighter. Nemo is not yet housetrained, but he’s eager to please and very trainable with consistency and patience. He has been treated for whipworms, is heartworm-negative and on preventative, fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. He adores car rides and, despite his energy, is a total couch potato at heart. He’s perfectly happy napping while you work from home, as long as he gets some playtime and love.
