Scaling was performed and the gum line was lowered, but additional scaling or extractions may be required in the future. 2⃣ Rescue Story * When Milo was at the Gimje City Shelter, he always had a sad face and sat in the corner. He was busy hiding in the corner whenever people approached, seemingly afraid of something. He was rescued before his fear and stress could worsen. 3⃣ Basic Information * With People: Is very shy. If a stranger tries to touch him suddenly, he sends stress signals like yawning or smacking his lips. Specifically feels uncomfortable around older women and feels relatively more comfortable with men. Among the family he lives with, he was particularly uncomfortable with the mother, but the relationship is gradually improving. With people he is familiar with, he does well enough to give kisses, allow hugging and touching, and even show his belly! When he is in a good mood, he expresses affection by tapping with his nose and staring intently into your eyes. Shows affection and his belly to his foster parent. It is best to wait until Milo opens his heart. * With Dogs: Doesn't have much interest in other dog friends at his foster home. Got along indifferently enough to have no trouble with other dogs at our center and school. * With Cats: Shows no interest in cats. * Separation Anxiety: Rests well alone without separation anxiety. * Potty Training: Is potty training indoors using pads and artificial turf. Once a pad is used, it must be folded away as he will never use it again. Poops once every 2-3 days and has a bit of coprophagia (eating stool), so it is best to clean up immediately after he goes. * Hygiene: Is a bit scared of water from a showerhead but takes baths well and has no rejection of hair dryers. Loves being brushed, so when he's in a good mood, he lies down comfortably for it. Doesn't like his paws being touched, so there might be a "mouth punch" (snapping) during nail trims; it's best to hold him and trim quickly. * Walks: Is a bit scared of the outdoors and once panicked during a walk, so he is currently undergoing indoor walk training. Showed anxiety during indoor training and struggled more when wearing a leash, so training was paused and then restarted. Is now following the lead better than at first! * Car Sickness: No motion sickness at all. Rests quietly in his kennel during travel. * Shows a behavior of opening his mouth toward strangers in situations where he feels scared. * No particular barking. Occasionally, if he wants to drink water or go potty and someone is with him, he makes a very small whining sound. After going potty, he whines to signal the foster parent to clean it up. Sometimes barks timidly at the foster parent's parents. * Likes resting alone inside his kennel. Is a total snack lover. Loves all kinds of meat, such as boiled chicken breast and duck jerky! * Large movements or sudden touches can be burdensome for Milo. Specifically, if a stranger tries to grab his paws, he growls and twitches his lips. Also, if held for about a minute, he may have a potty accident. Is very alert to outside noises and shows some growling. Is scared of the sound of a leash buckle. If he gets stressed during training or at the clinic, he may pee and run away. Is sensitive to paw touches and is undergoing desensitization training.
