Story
I’m Birch — a 3-year-old Westie, about 21 pounds, and one very sweet little boy looking for my first real home. Until now, I lived in a puppy mill, where my days were all the same and no one really knew me as a friend or family member. I was willingly surrendered, so that means I finally have a chance at the kind of life every dog deserves. I’m good with other dogs so if you already have a pup at home, I’d be happy to join. What I need now is a caring home that will show me what it means to be part of a family. If you can offer me understanding and love, I’ll spend the rest of my life making up for lost time — learning, trusting, and loving you back with my whole heart. I’m Birch, and I’m so ready for my second chance! Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://www.anewchancear.org/adopt/our-adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://www.anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.

Story
Hello! I’m Polar — a 4-year-old Westie weighing about 19 pounds, and I’m finally getting my first real chance at a normal life. I spent my early years stuck at a puppy mill, and even though that was really hard, I somehow held on to my sweetness. I was willingly surrendered, and now I’m safe, cared for, and waiting for someone to show me what a real home feels like. I’m a very sweet boy and good with other dogs, so I’d be happy to have a canine friend to keep me company. After everything I’ve been through, I really do deserve a second chance and a family of my own. I’m ready to leave the past behind and start over as someone’s beloved companion instead of just a number in a mill. If you’ve been thinking about rescuing a dog who truly needs you, I’d be honored if you chose me. Story
Meet Bulldozer!
Bulldozer is a 2-year-old Yorkie mix with a heart as soft as his fluffy white coat. This adorable little guy is incredibly loving and loyal—he’ll happily follow his people anywhere they go and simply wants to be part of every moment. He’s a major cuddle bug who could snuggle the day away, but he’s not a total couch potato. Bulldozer enjoys walks, exploring the yard, and any adventure that lets him stay close to his favorite humans. Truly, he’s up for anything as long as he’s with you. Bulldozer will be neutered, up to date on vaccines, and dewormed before adoption. He is house trained and does best in a home where he doesn’t need to be crated. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and absolutely adores people—kids included! If you’re looking for a soft, sweet, snuggly companion who will be your shadow and your cuddle partner, look no further—Bulldozer is your boy. Little Paw Rescue is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such. Please visit us on Facebook: Little Paw Rescue. All dogs from this rescue are transported from Alabama to the Hartford, CT area and delivered in CT. Each dog will come fully vetted. Price also includes transportation and a Health Certificate as required by law. There is a 200.00 deposit required at the time of adoption to secure the transport crate. The remainder of the fee will be paid once you pick up the dog. Naturally the 200.00 comes off the total owed at pick up. To get a application approval please go to: Everylittlepawrescuee@gmail.com
