PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION AND REQUIREMENTS FOR ADOPTION.. TOPSY is currently in foster care in Houston, Texas and the adoption fee includes her transportation with Mighty Mutt Shipping if interested there is an application on our website https:/www.houstonshaggydogrescue.org/apply/ Little Topsy who was seen being thrown from a car. This created a case of fear biting. After decompressing for a week, we were able to get her spayed and her shots we then put her out in the puppy pen in the yard to introduce her to the other dogs After some initial fear growling and snapping at everyone, she decided they were all ok and had fun meeting and greeting The next day when i put her outside she decided she wanted out of the pen and to play with everyone ! and that’s what she does all day long .. run and play ! she is a little snippy with her treats and will steal everyone else’s if she can get them, she’s a very quick thief ..shes a little of an Alpha dog...but very sweet.. she looks like a backyard breeder dog that tried to breed Westies , she has a lot of similarities , even the way she walks ,she is approx 3 years old and 13 lbs and she is looking for her new home.. Story
WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Abby - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! A is for Amazing B is for Beautiful B is for Bright Y is for Young at heart My name is Abby and yep I'm an amazingly beautiful bright lil gal that is still young...young at heart. My name means 'Giving Joy' and I do my best to bring joy and happiness to everyone. I had a beautiful life with my owner until she had to go into hospice. Her family didn't want to be bothered by me so they took me to the local shelter. This wonderful rescue took me in so that I wouldn't have to sit in a loud cold kennel and they put me in a loving foster home. I might not have by beloved home any longer but I do have lots of love going around and lots of playmate 'siblings' too! It is unsure if I've been around any small kiddos but I should do fine with the older ones that know to give me my space if I should need it. Even with my situation, I'm still a happy happy girl. I'm around 9 years young and I do mean young. I'm still active and love taking strolls around the neighborhood. I would make a great family addition as a companion dog to a retired person(s) or someone that works from home. I'm already house trained so I could even be a fabulous choice for a first time pet parent. I'm only around 15lbs so I'm a pawsome size for those strolls, car rides or mozing around the garden. And I also don't take up much room on the couch or bed! ;) My longer coat will need some regular grooming to keep me looking my stunning self. It seems I may have been used to going for a spa day and seem to be quite well mannered for them. I've had a home for my spring and summer years but now am looking for a home for my fall and winter years. If you would like a BFF to share in your daily going on's, a great listener and a fabulous secret keeper we could be a perfect match.

Story
Dottie is a sweet, adult Westie who was recently rescued from a puppy mill. Having spent their lives in cramped cages, with little to no human interaction, animals like Dottie can become timid and shy. It takes time for them to learn to trust their new surroundings and the humans that come with it. Since she arrived, Dottie has been making great strides in overcoming her fears and allowing her new friends at the shelter to show her that she is truly safe. Dottie loves to walk in our dog park and has even been known to chase a ball now and then. A small step, but wonderful progress for this amazing dog! Dottie would do best in a home with an adopter who is experienced with nervous dogs and can give her the time and patience she needs to learn to trust. Once that trust is made, Dottie will show you just how good a dog she really is and become a happy and loyal companion. ##1993871##
