WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Zizzle - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Zizzle, a fun little name to say for a fun lil pup to come running your way!! I'm somewhere between 5 and 6 years old they're guessing cuz I'd much rather snuggle with you then play! I'd be the perfect companion pup for a retired or work from home person. I'm perfectly happy and content to be wherever you are. I am house and crate trained. I know how to use the doggie door and can let myself out to do my business. I'm a tad bit shy at first meet but once I feel comfortable I'm super sweet and affectionate. I also get along great with the other foster pups, although I haven't met a cat yet. With my laid back go with the flow personality if introduced properly I should do ok with them too! But it seems that I'm pretty scared of men and will need lots of patience to feel comfortable with them. I come in at just 9lbs which makes for me being a great lil companion to share your lap watching your favorite TV programs or taking leisurely strolls thru the neighborhood. My mediumish coat is not shed free but it is low shedding. I only need to be brushed a few times a week. Those times are some of my favorite, cuz it's you and me time!! Are you in need of a BFF, a constant in your life to share all your going on's? It so happens I'm in need of a family. We could be a match made in heaven, just fill out my adoption application and we can find out!!!

Story
Name: Ozzie Nicknames: Ollie Breed: Jury is still out on if he's a Yorkie, Silky...Dorky? Age: 11 months Weight: 16 lbs. Sex: Male Before OMD: Surrendered to the rescue when his family could no longer care for him. Energy level: Higher. He's still a puppy and most definitely not a couch potato. But the good news is he does crash for naps in between his play sessions. Descriptors: Active. Fun-loving. Playful. Friendly. Adaptable. What we love most: His head tilt. The messy cute hair on the top of his head. When he jumps off the couch, superman style. What he loves most: Long walks. Playing with toys (his Chuck-It ball and grunting Pig most specifically). Treats. Snuggling on the couch. Snow. Playing fetch. Life Goal: To fit all the toys in his mouth at once Working on: Mouthing when he’s overly excited. Basic Commands. Leash manners – he does pull when he sees birds and squirrels, and sometimes barks at dogs or joggers passing by. Apartment friendly: Not so much. He’s very vocal when he sees someone walking past the house or if he hears a noise and thinks someone is coming to the door. Kids: Sure! Has loved the kids he’s met so far. Dogs: Yes! Fostered with a female Boxer. He usually rolls over and gives kisses when he meets a new dog. Resident dog(s) should be playful and tolerant as Ozzie wants to play and is oblivious to correction from other dogs when he is annoying them. Cats: Nope. Much too interested. House-trained: Working on it. Does best with routine, supervision, and consistency. Crate-trained: Yes, will bark initially and then settles in. Ozzie is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and microchipped. He is available for adoption to residents of Connecticut and surrounding states. If you are interested in adopting, please complete an application from omdrescue.org
