Meet Theodore, a sweet 4-year-old Wheaten Terrier mix with a heart full of love once he’s had a chance to warm up! Theodore is a charming boy who can be a bit nippy if his personal space is invaded, so he prefers to approach you on his own terms. While he may initially be defensive if approached too quickly, Theodore is a cuddly companion at heart. Once he feels comfortable and secure, he will eagerly seek out snuggles and affection. He’s good with other dogs and loves to play, though he isn’t fond of cats. Theodore is looking for a patient and understanding home where he can feel safe and cherished. If you’re willing to give him the time he needs to build trust, he’ll reward you with endless love and playful companionship.

Story
Pico Steve found himself in a high kill shelter in a very crappy area. He would have made it out... but to whom? I'm so thrilled we were able to rescue him and get him the groom and skills to live in a home. Pico Steve is a very fun boy. He is high energy, so he would do best in a home that is active and will work with his busy brain. Dog enrichment and continued socialization needed. He will require continued grooming and training. Please don't apply if you can not provide the above Homelife. All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Our dogs are in foster homes which enables us to learn more about them in a home environment. We do not place dogs on a first come first serve basis, but rather to the home best suited for them. An application, adoption fee and contract are required. Please direct all questions to adopt@crdogrescue.com. All our dogs can be met with an approved application. DANNY: Wheaten Terrier Mix / Neutered Male / 2 Years / 58 Pounds HOUSE-TRAINED, INTELLIGENT, PLAYFUL, LIVELY, INDEPENDENT! Danny is a playful, energetic, and friendly boy who loves being active. He enjoys walks, time at the park, and playing with his toys. He knows how to sleep in a crate and does well with other dogs his own size or medium to large dogs. Because of his enthusiasm and playful nature, he is best suited for a home without small dogs. Regular walks and having space to move, help him stay relaxed and happy. He is a very observant dog who enjoys exploring his surroundings and engaging with people. He has a bright, friendly personality and thrives when given structure, exercise, and companionship. We had to shave his hair because it was very matted when rescued. We are attaching pictures of before he was groomed. Come see him! He is hoping you will. In the canine heart, there is always hope. Meet beautiful Barbie! Barbie is a one year old, Wheaten Terrier and weighs 19 pounds. This precious little sweetheart loves to play and gets along well with other dogs. She loves adults but does not like children. She is also affectionate and loves to cuddle on your lap. She has good manners and has already been crate trained, leash trained, and house trained. Barbie is super smart so she benefits from structure and routine, as well as firm guidance.
