Story
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped. * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee. This dog will be at a meet and greet event on Saturday, June 3rd unless he/she is adopted prior to the event with a set up home. The event is from 12 pm to 3 pm at Palo Alto's Pet Food Express. Those interested in meeting the dog can come out to our meet and greet event. We no longer do application approval onsite. Anyone adopting has been previously approved and set up to meet prior to the event. Adoption fee: $600 The Paw Patrol puppies are 4 month old Wheaten Terrier x Labrador Retriever mixes (our best guess!). These puppies will be large when they are fully grown, which makes them the perfect adventure companions. The Paw Patrol litter was surrendered to our rescue when the family was moving and didn’t have time to rehome them after an accidental litter. We took them in and put them in foster homes and they have been thriving ever since! Rocky (M): 'Eye of the Tiger, it's the thrill of the fight..' Oh wait. Wrong Rocky. But you know you if you are a Gen X'er you hear that song every time you hear Rocky! Well, our boy is just as fabulous as that classic movie character. Best part: This puppy has not had an accident in his home in the last 48 hours. His foster home has been dedicated to potty training and **POW POW** look at the results. That's a huge benefit of having an amazing foster home who is dedicated to their foster. Rocky is up at 6am and heads straight out to go to the bathroom. He eats at 7 AM after heading out for a morning run in the yard, and has a mid afternoon snack (a few treats or 1/2 cup kibble). He eats dinner around 6 before heading to bed in his crate. Oh did we mention he is crate trained? YUP. Geez, our fosters are Rock(y)-Stars. Rocky is ready to teach all of his friends how to walk properly on a leash because he loves going on walks and he's amazing at it. (Bonus #2 to a great foster...teaching our pups the basics, so you don't have to and you just get to benefit!). He has a foster sibling that he loves. They play, tire each other out, nap, wake up, and then do it all over again. Rocky is super social, and a good home for him would have another dog who can help get out his puppy energy. He loves people too. While he is not necessarily a Velcro dog he likes to know where his people are. How much more perfect could this dog be? He's just an all around great dog looking for his perfect forever home. Rocky is an option for a home that has had a dog previously and demonstrates on the application their readiness and experience to have a puppy. If there are children, they should be age 6+ and knock-over proof as the Paw Patrol puppies will be large dogs when fully grown.
