Story
Maisie, also called Maisle is just the sweetest, little girl who is a China meat trade survivor.  We are so happy to have her.  She is going into a foster home after a toe issue is being evaluated at NorthStar.  We take no chances and want our dogs to have the best care from the moment they arrive in the U.S.   We are assured by the doctors that she will be fine!  Maisie has been a real charmer to all the volunteers and certainly to the medical staff at NorthStar--what a sweet personality she has.   Maisie is 3 years old and although she loves people, no cats please.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 15, 2026, 9:08 am

Story
Hello Everyone, My name is Charlie. I am about 7 months old and if you ask anyone that knows me...Well I am a good boy. I am already neutered and up to date on all my vaccines. I came to NJ not knowing anything. I didn't know how to walk on a leash. I didn't know how to sit or place. I didn't know what toys were. I didn't know what yummy treats were. And I sure didn't know what love was. But some nice people showed me the way and I felt love. But they are just my temporary people. I need to find forever love. I am looking for my forever home. Someone that will show me all the things that life has to offer. I was stuck in the shelter almost my whole life until someone gave me a chance to get out. And now here I am. Learning new things every single day. I love other dogs too they are so fun to play with and take naps with. If you would like to show me everything life has to offer and want a loyal companion and have the love and trust I long for. Then I am your boy. Check out my videos to see the fun stuff I've learned. Copays vary by location. $110 reimbursement if adopters' own vet/clinic is used within same timeframe for alter and microchip. All Mutts Matter Rescue is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization and donations are tax deductible. *** Breed determination in most cases is often based on the limited history typically available for most rescued animals. We try to be as accurate as possible with the information we have and the rescue assessment of the pup. Current Adoptions are within 3 hours of our foster homes, most within the SJ area - within NJ/PA/DE. Must be 24 to adoptOctober 15, 2026, 9:05 am

Story
Charlie - The Big-Eared Sweetie Pie Imagine this tiny puppy, hungry and frightened, with no idea where he is or why the people he trusted left him behind. That was Charlie’s reality when he was found dumped and abandoned on a beach in Puerto Rico. 😢 He was scared. He was hungry. And he was all alone. But then someone stopped and saw him. Someone cared. And little by little, Charlie began to discover that the world could be a kind place after all. ❤️ Today, this adorable little boy is showing his foster family what a sweet soul he truly is. Charlie is super gentle, incredibly loving, and absolutely precious — especially those BIG, adorable ears! 🥹🐾 He loves being around people and is wonderful with kids, cats, and other dogs. He has so much love to give and just needs what every puppy deserves: a safe home, a soft place to sleep, and someone who will never abandon him again. Charlie is currently in Puerto Rico with his foster family, who adore him and know he will be a wonderful addition to any family. He is so full of love and fun! His adoption fee includes transportation to anywhere in the mainland US (except the west coast). Charlie has already survived the hardest part of his story. Now he’s waiting for the part where he gets his happily ever after. 💙 Charlie is ready for his forever family.
