Jack Henry is looking for a calmer vibe and would love to find a more relaxed household to call his own. He is wonderfully easygoing and enjoys weekday walks and weekend trips to the dog park, and he does beautifully on leash. He can be particular about certain dogs and people on his walks, and may bark, but is good with firm redirection. He gets along well with other dogs (with proper introduction) and has played happily with them in his past, though he hasn’t met cats yet. With proper, slow introductions he loves most everyone he meets, including kids, and has excellent house manners. Jack Henry can be protective of his people and home, and may bark in reaction to new people coming by. He does take redirection well, but he will need someone who understands that he just loves his family so much and feels the need to protect them (even from friendly visitors!) Once he learns someone is friendly though, he will be friendly right back! He’s fully potty trained and crate trained, though he prefers not to be crated — and he’s trustworthy enough to be left uncrated when you’re away. He especially enjoys trips to the dog park to stretch his legs and get his zoomies out! Above all, Jack Henry is a deeply loving dog who wants to be part of the family — cuddled, adored, and included in everyday life.
