Story
Meet Clover! 🤍
Clover is a beautiful 3-year-old, 28 lb. Wirehaired Terrier/Jack Russell Terrier mix with the sweetest heart. She recently raised six wonderful puppies, and she was an incredible mom every step of the way. Now that her puppies are growing up, it’s finally Clover’s turn to be loved and spoiled.
Clover is a gentle, affectionate soul who would thrive in a quiet, loving home. She enjoys the simple things in life—long walks, rolling and playing in the grass, digging in the yard, cuddling with her favorite people, and soaking up all the love she can get. She’s the kind of dog who’s happiest just being by your side.
She gets along well with big, medium, and small dogs, but she would do best in a lower-energy home where she can relax while still enjoying plenty of mental and physical enrichment. Daily walks, fun activities, and lots of affection will help this sweet girl truly flourish.
Clover would do best in a home with children 7 years and older and no cats.
Clover is heartworm positive and is scheduled to begin her heartworm treatment in the Salem area in mid-August. She has several veterinary appointments already scheduled as part of her treatment plan, which will be sponsored by The Asher House. Heartworm disease is treatable, but it requires a series of veterinarian-administered injections followed by strict exercise restriction to ensure a safe recovery. Her future family will need to be committed to keeping Clover calm with plenty of crate rest and quiet relaxation until she completes her treatment at the end of September. This means no running, rough play, or strenuous activity during her recovery so she can heal safely and successfully.
Her journey to The Asher House began as a stray in Mississippi, and despite everything she’s been through, she has remained incredibly loving, trusting, and kind. After spending the last two months giving everything she had to her puppies, it’s finally her time to be someone’s baby.
If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a gentle heart and are ready to help Clover through the final step of her journey to a healthy, happy future, apply to meet her today. We can’t wait for her to find the forever family she has always deserved.
Clover's adoption fee is $295, and she is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.
