Story
Dolores came to us from the Yuma shelter with cruddy skin (which has greatly improved) and also a corneal ulcer which is doing much better as well. This girl is a spicy little bean so needs someone experienced and willing to go at her pace. She has done well in foster home with people of all ages inside the family but is reactive to visitors at the home and due to resource guarding behavior might be better in a single owner home. Dolores is estimated as 6 years old and around 12 lbs. Dolores also has chronic dry eye so will require drops for life and those could be $100/month or more plus visits to specialist. Dolores is crate trained, mostly housebroken with a dog door, friendly with all dogs and does pretty well on leash. She is a sweet loyal girl and bonds strongly with her caregiver but can be protective so needs someone willing to manage that behavior. She is a Xolo so will need upkeep of her skin. She is spayed, current on vaccines, had a small cyst removed and saw an eye specialist while in rescue. Story
I`m a wonderful companion who thrives on attention, enjoys walks, and absolutely loves car rides. I`m also perfectly content to relax on the couch and keep you company. My ideal home is one where I am showered with love, attention, treats, and regular walks. I should mention that I can be a bit possessive and jealous when I`m getting attention—it’s just part of my personality—but I’m not looking for conflict, just a little extra reassurance. For those curious, I weigh between 16-18 pounds, making me the perfect size for cuddles and companionship!

FOSTER NOTES: Meet PACO, A true Legend in his own mind. Paco can do it all, He is the perfect comfort dog & is highly skilled in teaching the art of belly rubs and snuggles. He has the cutest shovel jaw/under bite and is committed to being your loyal shadow where ever you may go. Who needs a doorbell when you have Paco guaranteed to alert you two seconds b4 the doorbell rings. He will keep your seat warm while you go to the potty OR he can be your potty patrol support tech AND Paco will keep watch while you enjoy your meal in order to make sure you eat every bite...treats appreciated. Very sweet little boy, He needs someone who is home all day, a retired couple with another playful buddy would be perfect for this little sweetheart. notation his left eye is underdeveloped (a congenital birth defect) Foster says, `that he cannot see out of his eye`. He requires drops 3 times per day. MEDICAL NOTE: PACO has been diagnosed with congenital irritable esophagus; excessive barking may cause chronic coughing. Paco may need occasional ongoing Veterinary care and possibly medication when irritation occurs. Will need health waiver at adoption. Foster never leaves him alone and takes with her whenever she goes out.
