Story
Dolores came to us from the Yuma shelter with cruddy skin (which has greatly improved) and also a corneal ulcer which is doing much better as well. This girl is a spicy little bean so needs someone experienced and willing to go at her pace. She has done well in foster home with people of all ages inside the family but is reactive to visitors at the home and due to resource guarding behavior might be better in a single owner home. Dolores is estimated as 6-7 years old and around 12 lbs. Dolores is crate trained, mostly housebroken with a dog door, friendly with all dogs and does pretty well on leash. She is a sweet loyal girl and bonds strongly with her caregiver but can be protective so needs someone willing to manage that behavior. She is a Xolo so will need upkeep of her skin. She is spayed, current on vaccines, had a small cyst removed and saw an eye specialist while in rescue. Story
Orbit is a very sweet dog a year old. He is house trained and loves people. He is big and probably not the best dog for little kids due to his size. He is good with most dogs but we would like him to go to a home where he is the main focus.

Story
Simon is a very friendly dog. He was surrendered to us by a breeder in Mexico that fell on hard times. He will need a little time to adjust to his new home surroundings. He is leash trained and house trained but might take a few days to learn your home dynamic. He does show signs that he was hit, so no strong forward movements at first (maybe no small unsupervised children) he loves his foster mom and since we got him he has shown a lot of improvement and is trusting of people.

Story
Baby xolo is a pure mini xolo. Her owner is currently in the hospital in Hermosillo and asked for our help to care for her dogs while she is unable to and rehome them. All proceeds go to the owner’s care (our choice to do this) Mom (pending) and dad are adopted and now puppies are ready to rehome. This is not technically a rescue dog and has never been abused or neglected.

Story
T-Bone came to us when his family could no longer care for him. He is estimated around 9 years old and is approximately 12 lbs. He is doing well with the potty routine in his foster home - going outside when his foster dad is home and using puppy pads when he is away at work. He enjoys his yard time and is a big fan of treats! He does have some mild food protectiveness but that is understandable given that there was not enough food at his former home. T-Bone does pretty well on a leash. He does great in a crate and ok in the car. He is timid but very affectionate once he warms up and knows you are safe. He is generally not a big barker. T-Bone is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and also had bloodwork done which looked good! Story
Meet the adorable Vana (also goes by Tinks). She came into the rescue a very neglected, shy and scared little dog. But boy has she made a complete 180 change!! Unfortunately, we don’t know much of her background other than she was found as a stray and in bad condition. She overcame a severe case of mange, double ear infections, and a UTI. When first arriving it was noted that she had very limited to no vision. Upon going to an eye vet specialist, it was determined that she may be able to gain vision back in one of her eyes with aggressive treatment and further diagnosis of possible valley fever. Well, he was right, she does have valley fever. But through great diet, eye drops, and medication for her valley fever, she has regained vision in her one good eye and sees great. Tinks is feeling so much better and has started to blossom into this wonderful young, spunky, playful girl that she’s always wanted to be. Tinks is estimated as 5 years old and is around 11 lbs. She loves attention, loves to play with and chew on any kind of dog toys/or bones. She gets along with other dogs after an introduction. She’s fine with cats and will try and play with them. She loves people of all sizes. She’s slowly learning to enjoy lap time and will come and ask for pets and belly rubs. She’s a little timid of the car, but over time would probably adjust just fine. She’s ok on a leash, but we haven’t spent much time with training, but I think with some patience she’ll figure it out. She’s housebroken and sleeps great through the night. This sweet girl is ready to find that wonderful home where she’ll be loved and cherished for the rest of her days. She will be on eye drops for life and will require at least an annual trip to Eye Care of Animals for a check up. She’s currently being treated for Valley Fever and is responding great to the medication. Story
Annika came to us about 6 months ago from Yuma. She was VERY shy and has made some progress in foster but is still going to require patience and work in her forever home. She is still unsure of the leash and anxious about new situations. She is very devoted to her foster mom, has learned the joys of living indoors and is pretty well housebroken. She does well in a crate but is generally not destructive. She gets along with dogs of all sizes and ages and also has no issues with cats, and would likely be best in a home with other animals. Annika is around 2.5 years old and about 15 lbs. She is spayed, current on vaccines and microchipped and has no health concerns. She has not shown too much interest in toys (yet) and seems to thrive on routines. Meet and greets will need to be at her foster home (midtown Tucson). If you are interested in meeting Annika submit the application HERE ))) https://form.jotform.com/cherishedtails/dog-application
