Story
Archibald is an intellectual. He is handsome, loves to wear scarves and readers, and prefers a night in by the fireplace over a night out on the town. He loves to love and wears his heart on his sleeve. He is the kind of dog that leans in for pets and stares into your eyes lovingly. While we can't be quite sure if he is a true Xolo hairless breed or not, we do know he looks great with his mostly hairless coat and fluffy face and feet. Archibald is luxury and deserves nothing but! Here's some notes from his foster: Meet Archibald! A 40 lb perfect medium size 7 year old pup! Unclear if he is part XOLO or just missing some furs, but either way he's as cute and sweet as can be. Archie is very gentle and loyal, he loves all people and all dogs. We take him to the park to socialize and he does well but may sometimes be. Little nervous near XXXL sized dogs. Archie walks great on a leash with a good pace and enjoys exploring, but more than that he loves coming home settling in for a nap and getting pets and scritches. We also found that archie loves to play with toys specifically balls and can keep himself occupied with a ball for hours (as long as it doesn't get stuck under the couch hehe). He eats all his meals with delight and is very gentle when taking treats. He is potty trained has had 0 accidents in our house. He comes when he is called and responds to "let's go and showing him the leash. He also responds to whistles and claps. He loves to wag his tail and show his happiness and love once he's all settled in. Currently he sleeps in his own dog bed on the floor though he would rather sleep on the human bed with me. He is able to go up and down stairs easily and jump on the couch. He doesn't enjoy getting picked up (as he cowers his body to the ground) however he allowed me to do it gently and slowly when I put him in the bathtub for a bath (which he tolerates well). Archie is also very good in the car and not nervous. My favorite thing about his is when he wants some livin' he will look you right in the eyes with his beautiful brown eyes and you can really feel the connection and all the love he has to give. He truly is a good boy and is looking for a family to love him back.

Story
Meet Sunset Street, the sweetest 14-year-old Chihuahua mix looking for her forever home! Sunset is a petite 7 lbs bundle of joy who has faced life's challenges with grace. Despite being on heart meds for a heart murmur and enlarged heart (not showing many signs yet) and being blind, this little angel is ready to bring warmth and love to a special someone. she is apayed and has had a recent dental. She is in renal Failure however is showing minimal signs. She is on prescription food for this. Upon adoption we will send a bag of dry food with her and 90 days of meds.    Sunset might be a bit skittish when picked up, understandable given her blindness, but her heart is pure gold. She's not the biggest snuggler, but she finds solace in sleeping on fluffy beds, and who can blame her?       In her kennel, Sunset is the epitome of quiet elegance, and she would appreciate a calm environment. No small or active children, please, as she deserves a peaceful and loving home where she can feel safe.   Fashionista alert! Sunset has a flair for style and loves donning stylish sweaters. She's not a picky eater and enjoys a mix of kibble with some wet food. An elevated food bowl is a must for this little queen.   Sunset is an excellent travel companion and rides well in a car. Imagine the joy she'd feel in a stroller, exploring the world and soaking up the sunshine during leisurely walks.   This precious girl is seeking someone with a heart big enough to provide the love she deserves for the time she has left. If you feel that you could be Sunset's perfect match, please email us at beourpet@gmail.com to inquire about adopting this gem. Story
**Update** we did not receive the biopsy results that we wanted to hear and unfortunately this amazing boy is joining our Sunset Club. The Dr. has given us an estimate of 4-6 months of quality life left. He needs an Angel hospice Adopter who will give him nothing but love and comfort for the time he has left and when the time comes the proper send off this prince deserves Meet Old Deuteronomy, the wise and witty senior pup who's not letting age define him – because, as he'll tell you, it's just a number! At 10 years young and a dapper 7 lbs, Deut (pronounced Doot) is here to steal your heart and your warm blankets. Currently on a binge-watching spree of Criminal Minds, Deut's the ultimate lap dog, recovering like a champ after having a mass removed and getting neutered. Biopsy results pending (see update above), but this trooper is ready for whatever comes his way. Deut's a ladies' man in his foster home, charming the girls and leaving them in giggles – if only they could talk, right? He's curious about the outside cat but keeps it cool. Ideal for a home with older kids who understand the art of pet respect or a companion for a fellow senior looking for some seasoned snuggles. With a touch of sass, Deuteronomy's got opinions – not a fan of the crate and vocal about his share of the dinner table. Potty trained with a bit of rain-related drama (who can blame him?), he's a calm, treat-loving gentleman. Ready for some wisdom and charm in your life? Old Deuteronomy is your guy! Interested in adopting this fabulous furball? Shoot us an email at beourpet@gmail.com Let's make the golden years even brighter with Deut by your side! #AdoptDeut #AgeIsJustANumber #GoldenYearsWithDeut   GENERAL INFO:   Housebroken?: Yes, we think so Crate Trained?: hates it Leash Trained?: Yes Rides Well in Car?: Yes Non-Shedding?: No Good with cats?: Yes, we think so Good with dogs?: Yes Qualifies for Seniors for Seniors?: yes Umbrella of Hope does not have any strict rules on ages of children because all children are different, but our best approximation is that this animal would do best with children over the age of 5 Umbrella of Hope is an all-volunteer, donation-run, non-profit animal rescue based out of Pittsburg, CA that rescues animals from local shelters, places them in private foster homes, provides them with needed medical care and then finds them new homes.  Also, ask us about our seniors for seniors program, where we adopt animals 5 years or older to qualified homes with a $5 donation as an adoption fee. Story
Meet Jimmy Choo! Looking for a loyal companion? Look no further! Jimmy Choo, a 7-year-old Chihuahua/Terrier mix, is ready to steal your heart. He's a calm and relaxed guy most of the time, but when playtime rolls around, he transforms into a flying, bouncing ball of fun! Jimmy listens well to commands like sit, no, wait, stop, and down. Plus, he's a pro at staying on his bed until it's cuddle time, then get ready for some sweet kisses! Jimmy adores his humans and craves lap time more than anything else. He's a fan of daily walks and behaves excellently on a leash. Although toys aren't his thing, he loves mingling with other dogs and always respects their space. This perfect little dog is housebroken, with just the occasional 'it's too cold' mishap. But with his charming personality and attentive nature, Jimmy would make an ideal companion for anyone seeking unconditional love. Interested in making Jimmy a part of your family? Email us at beourpet@gmail.com to learn more about adoption!
