Story
Ivy is a 5-6 year old, 10 lb girl. She came to us with her two puppies who have since been adopted. Now, it's this mama's turn! Though shy at first, as soon as she warms up, she is your shadow. She just needs patience to get to that point. Ivy is great with other dogs and cats. She is crate-trained and doing well with house-training. She enjoys sleeping in bed and snuggling up right next to you. Ivy enjoys following the other dogs around and learning from them. She is not comfortable on a leash with people she doesn't know and does REQUIRE a fenced in yard. Ivy is pretty quiet in her foster home and very low maintenance. To adopt this little girl, please apply on www.orphanannierescue.org Her adoption fee is $300, which includes her shots up-to-date, microchipping, spay, heartworm testing, and dental.

Otter is a 2-year-old, 11 lb Xoloitzcuintli mix with a sweet, loving personality. She is happiest when she’s right by your side and truly enjoys being close to her people. Otter is both toy- and food-motivated and loves carrying her toys around, proudly squeaking them as she goes. She enjoys running and playing with other dogs and can happily have dog friends for playtime. However, Otter does not do well sharing resources like toys, so to truly thrive, she needs a home as an only dog. Playdates and supervised romps with other dogs are still a great fit for her! Otter is currently not comfortable walking on leash. We are actively working with her on this, but at this time she requires a securely fenced yard so she can safely exercise and explore. Otter would do best in a home that can provide consistency, patience, and lots of love—along with toys she can call her own. She is working diligently on house-training and crate-training. To adopt her, please apply on www.orphanannierescue.org Her adoption fee is $400, which includes her shots up-to-date, microchipping, spay, heartworm testing, dental cleaning, and deworming.

Meet Coco. Coco was rescued from St. Thomas while she was pregnant. She was a great mother to six wonderful puppies. She is now ready to find her forever home. Coco is truly an island dog and was considered feral when we rescued her. She is slowly coming around. Coco is very scared and is considered a flight risk. She can walk somewhat on a leash. A fenced yard will be required. It would also be great for her to have a home with another dog, so that she can learn what it’s like to be a normal dog. Coco is considered a project Dog and will need someone with patience and understanding of fearful dogs. Coco is also heartworm positive and will be going through treatment. Caroline is a precious small breed dog. We rescued her mom from St Thomas prior to her giving birth to these babies. Coco, her mom, weighs 20 pounds. We are not sure what breed these babies are, but what we do know is they are completely adorable!! Meet the G Litter! Gandalf and his playful 7 siblings and their loving mom were recently found as strays. At 2 months old, these little pups are full of curiosity, energy, and affection, and they are ready to find their forever homes. They are expected to stay small when fully grown, making them perfect companions for homes looking for a pint-sized best friend. With guidance, love, and socialization, these puppies will grow into happy, well-adjusted family members. The G Litter is scheduled to be spayed and neutered on Friday, 2/13. They are available for meet-and-greets now, and will be ready for adoption once their surgeries are complete. The puppies est. birth date is 12/11/2025 and will be neutered/spayed. Gandalf is microchipped and given all age appropriate vaccines and preventions. The puppies have an adoption fee of $510. Puppies require a lot of time and commitment. Please make sure your schedule can accommodate a puppy as they will be a member of your family for the next 10 to 15 years. If you want to know more about the G Litter, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. At this time, meeting our dogs is by appointment only. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet.
