Maggie is a one to two year year-old 5 to 6 pound purebred Yorkie. She came to us after a breeder’s house burned down. Maggie is shy and takes a little time to come around, but once she does, she does very well with her people. Maggie is with other dogs and kids, is vaccinated, microchipped, and will be spayed. Due to her size, we do think it would be best if Maggie was in a home with older children.

Story

If Pepe could talk, he would have a sad story to tell. This little guy was found as a stray in bad shape. He had scabies, malnourished, prolapsed anus from chronic diarrhea, infested with fleas and had lost so much blood, he needed a blood transfusion. He’s on the fast track to a full recovery. Putting on weight, coat is looking good, active/happy, still working on the poo issue - poo got too firm and caused him to prolapse again. Foster is monitoring and in contact with our vet to make sure he’s okay and on the mend. He’s not a hyper, nervous, yapper. He’s more of a chill lap dog. Professional napper and cuddler.

Story

Dewey is an extremely sweet 6 lb, 10 year old, little Yorkshire Terrier who we found sitting in a high kill city shelter and they found him wandering in the streets. Dewey is considered Special Needs as he is blind, although he can see some vague shadows. However as we have found with most blind dogs, once they know the lay of the land they get around so well. Dewey is no exception. In fact, at times it can be hard to keep up with him, as in typical Yorkshire Terrier fashion he will go where he wants to go, will not wait and will go there NOW. Like many dogs, he loves having sunbaths and like most Yorkies he loves to just patrol his surroundings to make sure everything is as it should be. Dewey is not a fussy eater, not a barker and becoming house trained. In view of his blindness he needs to be in a house with no children under 12 years old. Dewey has been vet checked, complete with a dental, is up to date with vaccines, microchipped and neutered.
