Cooper is a beautiful Maltipo. He is about 2 years old and weighs about 12 lbs.  He's great on leash and loves playing with his toys. He is great with other dogs and cats. He's very obedient and learns quikly. Cooper is a door dasher so must be careful while opening you door. H doesn't like Toddlers pulling on him.  He is a lovely boy. Dante  is a beautiful Maltipo. He's about 8 years old and weighs about 9 lbs.  He's a great little fella with a fun personality! He walks wonderful on leash. Potty trained and crate trained. He likes to play with your feet and run & play with his toys! This is the sweetest most loving 12 year old little boy named Channing! He loves cuddling and going for walks, and appears to be easily trainable.  He was left in the Carson shelter in a pen with several other dogs and was shut down and traumatized by all the noise and commotion, so it took him a couple of days to come out of his shell and warm up a little, but after a few weeks he has adjusted to his new foster surroundings and new people and has really blossomed.  He runs around with his other two foster brother dogs and, even though they are bigger, he still tries to play with them.  He also has 3 cat siblings more his size and he sleeps with them all on the couch when we are watching TV.  He knows phrases like, "wanna go outside?", "Let's go" and "It's time for bed."  He is pretty relaxed with the groomer and loves when I dress him up in his hoodie. When he first came to me, he seemed to favor his right back leg, but that does not seem to be an issue anymore.  He has a daily walk with another dog and seems fine.  He is protective of his food and should be fed separately.  The vet also recently ordered prednisone to shring a pineal hernia to its current size.  He was neutered in October.  Would do well with a family but preferably with older kids, or an older couple or single person who would like a senior dog companion with a youthful personality and a lot of life left to live. ##2650062##

Story
Comet is an approximately six-year-old Maltese. A friendly dog, he is a mixture of spunky, loving, and sassy with a medium energy level. Comet gets along with all dogs, male, female, large, medium and small. He would love to have a buddy or two in his home to play with and show him the way. Weighing in at nine pounds, he is currently being fostered with two big dogs and gets along with both. Comet has mastered potty training with no accidents in the last month. He loves going for walks and is excellent on leash. He enjoys going on adventures to new places and taking car rides, too. Comet likes hanging out with his people and is a good boy with visitors coming to the house. Comet does not annoyingly bark, but he does have a little little growl he sometimes uses to tell you he wants to be pet and sometimes to tell you he doesn't want to be bothered. It should not be mistaken as something bad, rather just him being sassy. At night he sleeps quietly in his dog bed. (Sometimes he wants to come up on his foster mom's bed to sleep and she does allow it.) Unfortunately, the people who had Comet before he entered the shelter did not take very good care of him and he had severe periodontal disease. The rescue had to remove all of his teeth as a result. He eats wet food and can eat small, soft treats. Comet loves to sunbathe on warm days and romp around in the yard with his doggie friends. Toys are not a huge interest, but he will occasionally play with them. It's very cute when he gets the zoomies and runs through the house with excitement. Comet is a great little dog who really wants to please and be part of a family. Could that family be yours?
