Story
We are currently on a cross country transport that started from where we are located in Southern California to the east coast. Lillie's adoption fell through so we are networking her in hopes she finds a home along the way with a good family. If she speaks to your heart and you would love the opportunity to welcome her into your home reach out to us. It doesn't matter what state you are in we will come all the way to your home
Lillie is a 7 lb purebred Yorkshire Terrier who is full grown and at a perfect, healthy weight for her size. She turned two years old on December 24, 2025, and she truly is a little gift wrapped in fur. A loving, loyal, and gentle-hearted girl who wants nothing more than to be near her person.
Lillie came to us after her prior owner, who adored her deeply, found herself facing one of life’s most difficult chapters. She was going through cancer treatment and, though she wanted desperately to keep her girls close, she knew the road ahead was uncertain. With a heavy heart, she reached out to us to take them both in, trusting that we would find them the very best homes possible. One of the girls has since found her forever family, and now it’s Lillie’s turn. ❤️
From the moment you meet her, it’s easy to see she’s one of those dogs who connects deeply and quietly, in all the small, beautiful ways that matter most. She doesn’t demand attention she earns it, simply by being who she is. If you get up from your seat for even a moment, she’ll hop up to keep it warm, waiting patiently for your return. She’s the kind of dog who looks at you as if you hung the moon, and that kind of love is hard to find.
Lillie grew up surrounded by both dogs and cats and gets along effortlessly with everyone. She has that easygoing personality that makes her blend right into a home, no matter the dynamic. She’s gentle with smaller dogs, respectful of larger ones, and curious but kind with cats. Her happiness shines most when she’s near her people quietly present, following you from room to room just to be close.
While she isn’t a high-energy dog, she does enjoy her playtime. She loves soft toys, crinkly ones, and anything that gives her a reason to bounce happily for a moment before curling up again at your feet. A small toy basket in her new home will bring her joy, but it’s your love and attention that she’ll treasure most. She is crate trained and sleeps peacefully through the night, though she would be equally happy curling up beside her person if that’s preferred.
Lillie is wonderful on road trips whether short errands around town or long drives out of state, she’s calm, content, and happy to go wherever you go. She’s a little lady at the groomer, too, always patient and trusting during her spa days. Her coat is easy to maintain, and her personality makes her a dream for any grooming or travel situation.
She isn’t a barker by nature, but she does have that perfect Yorkie intuition she’ll alert you softly if something feels off, then quickly settles back down once reassured. She’s very smart and food motivated, making her a quick learner and a dog who thrives on positive reinforcement and praise.
Above all, Lillie is love in its purest form. She’s tender-hearted, affectionate, and loyal to her core. She’ll sit quietly with you on your hardest days and celebrate with you on your best ones. For someone looking for a true companion — not just a pet — Lillie is exactly that. Her adoption fee is on our website at the bottom of her adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/lillie which goes directly toward her veterinary and care costs including her spay, vaccines, microchip and registration, dental cleaning and polish, antibiotic injection to aid in the healing of her spay and dental, and her full wellness exam. It also helps offset the months of care, training, and grooming she has received from us since her arrival.
