Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption. They say dogs have 17 facial expressions - well, not Mr. Bartlett Lee. He has at least 117! His big eyes will see right into your soul, and his adorable snaggle-toothed underbite will melt your heart. it is easy to tell Bartlett Lee once lived in a home because he is house trained, leash trained, and is comfy in his crate. Sadly, this little guy found himself at the shelter and shows signs of being a stray as he is always awake, always alert, head on a swivel, and is very food motivated (which is ok because he could stand to put a *little* weight on his tiny 11lbs) But he is very comfortable and happy living in his foster home. He is now ready to relax, sit around with his humans and be loved. He is about 5 years and is good with other dogs and even cats. He is medium energy and loves to play in the yard. And while we aren't sure of his exact breed, he appears to be a low-shed type of Terrier!
