Penny is an absolute pure sweetheart! What a doll of a personality! She is healthy, happy, amiable, intelligent, and affectionate. She would be a wonderful companion, lap dog, playmate for another little dog or fine by herself. She gets along with everybody and everything. She doesn't have the normal feisty little dog syndrome. She is not a barker, and would fit in anywhere. She is mostly housebroken with few accidents if taken out regularly. For some reason she was shaved down so she is not as fluffy and cute as she normally would be. Probably because of the fine Yorkie hair. The family put them out in the back yard and had been ignoring them and their care. The neighbors and local Humane Society volunteers noticed this and action was taken. Now the boys are in a safe foster home and ready to move forward with their lives. Because they are bonded to each other, they are looking for a home together. Caesar is 20# and Homer is 16# . They are active and healthy guys! They are used to a quieter lifestyle, having lived with an elderly lady. They LOVE everyone, super friendly and sweet. The adoption fee is $350 each, to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. She is gentle, affectionate, and happy to be wherever her person is. She struggles with stairs because of her size, but she does not mind being picked up and carried. She enjoys spending time in your lap, but she never demands it. If you choose not to lift her up, she settles at your feet with contentment. Maggie arrived in rescue after her owner passed away. She has lived her life beside Madison, though they are not bonded. She gets along beautifully with other dogs and she enjoys quiet routines. She wants a safe, loving place where she can relax and feel secure. Maggie is an easy companion. She is tiny, sweet, and grateful for gentle care. Meet Ozzie. In mid-November, this incredibly sweet little dog found himself in a dire situation. He wasn’t feeling well, so his family took him to the vet. Shockingly, their recommended solution was to put Ozzie to sleep. Thankfully, the vet couldn’t bring himself to go through with it. Instead, he asked Ozzie’s family to release him into his care, and they agreed. He immediately called Critter Cavalry, and Ozzie’s story took a hopeful turn. After a second thorough exam and x-rays, it was determined that nothing was seriously wrong with Ozzie. He only seemed to have some mild back pain, which resolved after a short course of medication. The moment Miss Dawn arrived home and Ozzie heard the other dogs, his spirits lifted. He happily bounded out of the car, and in no time, he was running around the backyard with his new friends. Ozzie is a very sweet little man who is 7 years old and 9 lbs. He is very friendly. Ozzie gets along great with other dogs. He does not meet a 4 legged stranger. He also loves people. Ozzie would do best in an all-adult home with another small dog to play with. He is happy boy who just brings a smile to your face. Don’t you want a similar smile on your face!!
