Meet Maggie. She is an eleven year old, four point five pound mix of Yorkshire Terrier and Poodle with a tender heart and a tiny frame. She is gentle, affectionate, and happy to be wherever her person is. She struggles with stairs because of her size, but she does not mind being picked up and carried. She enjoys spending time in your lap, but she never demands it. If you choose not to lift her up, she settles at your feet with contentment. Maggie arrived in rescue after her owner passed away. She has lived her life beside Madison, though they are not bonded. She gets along beautifully with other dogs and she enjoys quiet routines. She wants a safe, loving place where she can relax and feel secure. Maggie is an easy companion. She is tiny, sweet, and grateful for gentle care. Homer (R) and Caesar (L)-Yorkie/Maltese X males (bonded), ~ 10 yr (Aug. 2025) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for an application to apply. Homer and Caesar came to rescue when their owner passed away. The family put them out in the back yard and had been ignoring them and their care. The neighbors and local Humane Society volunteers noticed this and action was taken. Now the boys are in a safe foster home and ready to move forward with their lives. Because they are bonded to each other, they are looking for a home together. Caesar is 20# and Homer is 16# . They are active and healthy guys! They are used to a quieter lifestyle, having lived with an elderly lady. They LOVE everyone, super friendly and sweet. The adoption fee is $350 each, to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption.
