Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Copper Penny is a sweet, curious boy. He hasn't had a lot of human love or contact, but he doesn't seem to mind it. He does enjoy a good petting session. He is slowly warming up to people and starting to relax and feel safe.  He rides in a car well and settles in nicely in his crate. He is scheduled to be neutered and will begin heart worm treatment soon. Medications will still be provided once he is adopted. He is great with both dogs and cats. He has some arthritis but is pretty spunky. Copper Penny will make an excellent a companion. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 2, 2024, 1:36 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Malin is a well-mannered 7lb neutered male rescued from a hoarder/breeder situation. He is very sweet, quiet, and loves affection.  He likes going on short walks and does extremely well on a leash.  Being a senior, he does nap a lot, but while awake will want to be close to his human.  Due to his age, he would do best in a home without stairs.  Please consider giving Malin a forever home.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 2, 2024, 1:36 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Sweet Pippy arrived at Pawfect Match after being seized from a horrible hoarding situation.  She is a senior girl and is heartworm positive.  She now responds to Bella, and we are discovering her personality little by little. Bella seems to bond better with women than men, and we believe her ideal living situation would be a single living woman that has some previous experience with small dogs.  Her favorite activity is cuddle with her favorite person. She is crate trained and rides well in the car. She is also house trained.  This lady has been through a lot, and had a dental done, so only wet food for her! She likes it more and it's easier to eat. She loves to eat now that she was switched to soft food.  She is good with other dogs.  She really enjoys running in the yard and playing with all of the other dogs.  We have began her slow kill heartworm treatment and will continue to supply the meds for that after adoption until the treatment is complete.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 2, 2024, 1:36 pm

Story
Simon is an itty-bitty 1 ½ yr old, 4 lb, Yorkshire Terrier who came to us as a “breeder” release dog which means she had never lived in a home as someone’s beloved family member. Simon’s foster mother says he was initially shy but warmed up quickly. He is affectionate and appreciative. Simon likes to snuggle up close to his person in bed and gets along well with the other small dogs in his foster home. He is learning leash training and has a way to go on housetraining. He has not figured out steps yet, so he would do best in a home and yard where there are few or no steps. Simon could be an only dog or have another tiny dog, under 8 lbs, which is our preference. WE REQUIRE AN ALL-ADULT HOME WITH A SECURELY FENCED YARD. The secure fence must be 4ft or higher, with gaps no greater than 1 1/4 inches, and attached to the home. An invisible fence, enclosed patio, terrace or deck, temporary fencing, dog pens or dog lots or community shared fencing (dog park) are NOT considered secure fencing. If your fencing has "puppy pickets" (or is supplemented with garden fencing) it needs to be at least 36 inches high from the ground up AT THE LOWEST POINT. No exceptions. We are an all-volunteer organization, and in addition to saving dogs, we have other responsibilities, so we appreciate your patience and understanding during this process. Response time can take up to 5 business. Please inquire only if you are willing to come to Greensboro, North Carolina to meet the dog after we schedule your home visit. We do not ship dogs or put them on transports. Veterinary Care: All Hart-2-Heart Rescue foster dogs are spayed/neutered, current on heartworm prevention, parvo/distemper, bordetella, and rabies vaccines and are professionally groomed. As needed, our foster dogs have teeth cleanings, extractions, bloodwork and other diagnostic testing. Adoption Fee: $500April 23, 2024, 10:28 pm

Story
Ryder is a 3 lb, 7 yr old Yorkshire Terrier who came to us as a “breeder” release dog which means she had never lived in a home as someone’s beloved family member. Ryder’s foster mother says he’s a quiet, tiny, sweetie pie. She often catches him prancing up and down in place and stretching his back legs backward. It's a cute little routine. Although Ryder loves attention, he rarely lies in your lap, but just stands in your lap! When Ryder came into rescue, he was very sickly, but is now well on the mend, but he grew accustomed to being spoon-fed and will not eat on his own. Ryder is a quiet Yorkie who prefers taking things in and watching everything going on. He is not playful yet, but seemingly more contemplative in nature. He is a loving little guy for anyone with a calm and leisurely life. Ryder could be an only dog or have another tiny dog (under 8 lbs), which is our preference. He is working on his housetraining and is so tiny he could also be a strictly indoor dog who uses pee pads. He has not figured out steps yet, so he would do best in a home and yard where there are few or no steps. WE REQUIRE AN ALL-ADULT HOME WITH A SECURELY FENCED YARD.  The secure fence must be 4ft or higher, with gaps no greater than 1 inch, and attached to the home - meaning you have an inside door which opens into the fenced yard.
