The adoption range for this dog is limited to NC, SC, northern GA, east TN, DC area, VA, and southern MD. If you are interested in adopting this dog, you MUST contact h2hadoptions@gmail.com directly. There is an application process and adoption fee. ----------- Rosie is a 4-year-old Yorkie/Maltese mix who weighs around 1l.5lbs.  Rosie has a calm spirit and a unique personality. If you ever thought to yourself, I would love to have a dog who acts like a cat, Rosie is your girl! She is content to lie near you on the couch; however, she is not a lap dog. She will lay at the foot of the bed, on the second pillow, or peacefully in her crate at night. Her favorite toy is a Nyla bone and the occasional piece of crushed ice. She is proudly not a high-maintenance pup. Rosie came from a hoarding situation with over 29 dogs in the home, hence her unique personality. Rosie really watches and learns from the dogs in her foster home.  We prefer her adoptive home have another small social dog, not larger than 15 pounds. Rosie has good energy around other dogs and often gets into the dog beds or an open crate with them. She looks to the other dogs to see how they react when experiencing something new.  Rosie is cautious around new people, especially men, so it will take time for her to warm up. We are asking for an all-female home for Rosie. During her time with us, she has shown she only responds to women and will not go out the door with a man to go potty. She's not an attention seeker but will definitely capture your heart. She has a peaceful presence. Whoever adopts Rosie will need to understand her “breeder pup” issues and be willing to give the space she needs. Rosie has come so far, but it has taken time. Rosie is crate trained and doing very well with leash walking.  We require a securely fenced yard for Rosie so she can have the opportunity to be safely supervised in her own yard, plus a fenced yard is an added layer of safety, because Rosie is quick! The first few months in her foster home Rosie tended to run away when scared instead of to her foster mom. That’s the breeder pup in her. Rosie requires weekly combing even though her hair does not mat easily. Her hair does grow fast, so her adopter needs to be up for frequent grooming.  The adoption range for this dog is limited to NC, SC, northern GA, east TN, DC area, VA, and southern MD. If you are interested in adopting this dog, contact h2hadoptions@gmail.com. There is an application process and adoption fee. WE REQUIRE AN ALL-ADULT HOME WITH A SECURELY FENCED YARD.  The secure fence must be attached to the home, 4 feet or higher with gaps no larger than 1 1/2 inches and attached to the home.  An invisible fence, enclosed patio or terrace without grass, temporary fencing, dog pens or dog lots or community shared fencing (dog park) are NOT considered secure fencing. If your fencing has "puppy pickets" (or is supplemented with garden fencing) it needs to be at least 36 inches high from the ground up AT THE LOWEST POINT. No exceptions. We are an all-volunteer organization, and in addition to saving dogs, we have other responsibilities, so we appreciate your patience and understanding during this process. Response time can take up to 5 business. Please inquire only if you are willing to come to Greensboro, NC to meet the dog after we schedule your home visit. We do not ship dogs or put them on transports. Veterinary Care: All Hart-2-Heart Rescue foster dogs are spayed/neutered, current on heartworm prevention, parvo/distemper, bordetella, and rabies vaccines, and are professionally groomed. As needed, our foster dogs have teeth cleanings, extractions, bloodwork and other diagnostic testing. Adoption Fee: $500July 7, 2026, 11:34 pm

**IMPORTANT NOTE: We ONLY post our dogs on Petfinder and Adopt-A-Pet!  If you see Hart-2-Heart dogs on ANY OTHER platform, it is likely a SCAM - DO NOT submit an application on that platform!** ----------- The adoption range for this dog is limited to NC, SC, VA, northern GA, DC area, southern MD and east TN. If you are interested in adopting this dog, you MUST contact h2hadoptions@gmail.com directly. There is an application process and adoption fee. ----------- Chase is a fun-sized 5lb Yorkie who is 6 years old. He is a great cuddler and the perfect lap buddy. Chase can be shy when you first meet him. He came to us as a breeder-release dog, having never lived in a home as someone’s beloved pet. Many dogs like this have never been on a leash or set foot on grass to potty. Chase was a little reserved in the beginning, but since adjusting to his foster family, he has really come to life. Chase is smart and curious. He’s always smiling and gets excited when you talk or play chase with him. He loves to play with the other dogs in his foster home. We require his adoptive home to have another small social dog under 12lbs so he can continue to watch and learn from another dog in the home. Chase is still learning house-training and leash walking, so he will need someone with time and patience to help him be successful. We require an all-adult home with a small, securely fenced yard. The fenced yard is not so he can be left alone, but to help with house-training, since most pups do not want someone hovering over them when trying to potty. Chase is trying to learn how to use stairs, so we prefer a home with limited to no stairs. There is an application process and adoption fee. WE REQUIRE AN ALL-ADULT HOME WITH A SECURELY FENCED YARD.  The secure fence must be attached to the home, 4 feet or higher with gaps with no larger than 1.5 inches.  An invisible fence, enclosed patio or terrace without grass, temporary fencing, dog pens or dog lots or community shared fencing (dog park) are NOT considered secure fencing. If you are interested in adopting this dog, you MUST contact h2hadoptions@gmail.com directly. There is an application process and adoption fee. ----------- Kobe is a 4-year-old Yorkie mix weighing in at a cuddly 10 pounds. With his big heart and tiny paws, Kobe is a happy, sweet little guy who’s never met a stranger. This loving little guy thrives on companionship and wants nothing more than to be by your side. Whether you’re relaxing on the couch or moving from room to room, Kobe will be your loyal little shadow. He gets along well with other dogs, and his foster mom says he really pays no mind to the cat in the home. Kobe could be the only dog or have another small dog in the home under 15 lbs. Kobe may love some couch time with you; however, he is still a very active little guy. We are asking for a securely fenced yard attached to the home. Kobe loves to go on walks and spend time outside with his foster mom. He is doing very well with leash training. Kobe is working on house training and wears a belly band. His adoptive home will need patience to continue working with him on house training for him to be successful.  Kobe does tend to plant himself by your feet, so he is a tripping hazard and would not be a good fit for a person with balance issues or a senior citizen. If you're looking for a happy, affectionate companion who loves to snuggle, Kobe might just be your perfect match!  Kobe is neutered, had a dental exam, microchipped, current on shots, heartworm negative, on heartworm prevention, and professionally groomed. His adoption fee is $500. WE REQUIRE AN ALL-ADULT HOME WITH A SECURELY FENCED YARD FOR Kobe’s ADOPTIVE HOME.  The secure fence must be attached to the home, 4 feet or higher with gaps no larger than 1 1/2 inches.
